Eugeo's POV
5.30am
1st of June 2025

I walk in the hallway when I notice a light coming from Kazu's room. He's already awake? I slightly push the opened door wider and see him sitting on the armchair while staring out on the window. "You're early." I say walking in. Kazu turns his head slightly to me before turning back to the rising sun.

"Couldn't sleep." He simply says.

I sit on the edge of the bed facing him. "Nightmare again?" I ask even though I already know the answer.

"Yeah..." He says not leaving the sun. After that, I stay quiet letting him have some quiet moment. "You know, I'm always jealous of the sun."

"Oh?" I tilt my head in confusion.

"No matter what happened, it will always keep on rising..." He says as the sun starts to shows up. "Even when people said bad words to it, it'll always rise up like nothing ever happened." He lets out a sigh. "I've always wanted to be like that..."

"Yeah... You're right about that. Sun will always rise up, no matter what happened. Probably because people need their warmness." I say nonchalantly. "But, you know, it also set when it is its time. Not everything in this world can stay the same, Kaz."

He stays quiet, so I continue. "You said you're jealous of the sun. But, the way I see it, you're the sun itself."

He lets out a scoff, "I'm not strong... If I'm the sun, I wouldn't rise again."

"That's where you're wrong," I say standing up from the bed. "From what I heard from your friends, Asuna too. Back in SAO, no matter what happened, no matter who the enemy is, you keep on rising. Isn't that the same as the sun?" I stand in front of him covering the sunlight. "What change?" I put my hand on my waist.

"... In SAO, that wasn't me... Kirito, the Black Swordsman, he's a strong man who doesn't know what give up means. While me, Kazuto, is just a boy who is abused by his parent and couldn't do anything..." He says.

"Now that's just dumb." He looks at me in shock. "To me, Kirito and Kazuto is the same person. The only thing that makes it look different is that Kirito has a sword while Kazuto doesn't. Also, Kirito doesn't have as much friends as Kazuto does." I kneel in front of him and hold his shoulder. "So, don't say that you and Kirito are different because it's not true."

I take a deep breath before I continue. "You've got to stop comparing yourself with someone who is already living inside you. Because, that boy who is living there," I point at his heart, "is sitting in front of me. You just need to realize it."

He keeps on staring at me. "You said I'm the same as him... Then, why I don't feel it that way...?"

"Like I said because you haven't realized it, yet," I emphasize the last word. "I think, no, I know, I understand you, Kaz." I stand up with my hands on my waists. "You've been wearing that mask for too long. That you yourself are fooled by it."

"What do you mean by that?" He asks as I take a step back.

"I'm sorry, Dude. But, if I'm the one who told you about it, it won't change a thing. I'll give ya a clue though." I raise my forefinger. "Get to know yourself more."
