Fiona
Center City, Philadelphia

I woke up the next morning feeling really frustrated and angry. I don't know why this was bothering me so much but I could barely sleep last night.

"What are you doing today?" Nolan asked while snuggling his face into my neck.

"I think I'm going to a party later tonight, you're welcome to come if you'd like," I answered, I didn't want him to know how mad I was because if I told him why then he would feel pressured. I don't want him to ask me just because I'm upset that he hasn't yet. I want him to want it as much as I do.

"I'll come. Can Travis and Izzy come? I think Trav asked if I wanted to do something."

"Yeah, sounds good. I think I'm gonna get going. I have some homework. I'll text you the address when I know it." I said, beginning to gather my things. I wanted to talk to Ash about this. She's really good at this relationship thing.

"I'll drive you."

Nolan drove me back to my building and I made my way to my room. On my way there, I ran into Jay.

"Fiona!" I heard from behind me.

As much as I wanted space from Nolan right now, I wanted so bad for him to save me right now.

"Hey, Jay," I smiled.

"Are you going to the party at Matt's tonight?" He asked. I mentally cursed and debated whether I should tell him no or tell the truth.

"Yep, you?" I said back.

"Mhm, I'll see you there!"

I turned around quickly and went straight for my room, avoiding any further conversation with him.

When I entered my room, Ashley and Maddie were watching a movie.

"Hey," I said in a disappoint tone.

"What's wrong? Did something happen with Nolan?" Maddie questioned.

"No, he didn't do anything. That's the problem. Last night he introduced me to Travis' new girl as his girlfriend, but he hasn't asked me yet. And when I brought it up I thought he might actually ask me, but he didn't. I just don't understand why he hasn't yet."

My eyes teared up a bit, probably because I got my period yesterday. I'm blaming all of these emotions on that. If this was happening a week ago I probably wouldn't be reacting like this.

"He's probably just waiting for the right time, Fi," Maddie comforted, rubbing my back.

"I know, but he's had so many chances. And we're on break next week and I sorta wanted to bring him to meet my family but if he doesn't want to ask me I feel like it would weird. Like "Oh this is the guy I've been talking to for two months but he doesn't have the balls to actually ask me to be his girlfriend."

We talked for awhile and then started to get ready for the party. I texted Nolan the address because I told him he should meet me there. I wore a white lace romper with my white slip on vans.

We walked into the frat house, there was loud music and red cups everywhere. People were sliding down the stair banisters and shouting everywhere. This was much more rowdy than the one I was at last time, the one I met Nolan at. I knew he wouldn't like this one. He was a very chill person and I could tell when people were being crazy he got anxious.
