Finals week. The only thing getting me through the next few days is the fact that I get get to go home for almost a month. I'm currently sitting in Starbucks studying for my exams. Nolan is patiently sitting across from me scrolling though his phone.

"Are you free tonight?" He asked.

"I was gonna go to the library after dinner, what's up?" I replied, my face buried in my textbook.

"I was thinking we could go out to dinner? Y'know before I can barely see you for a week?"

"Yeah, where?" I asked him, as I began to pack my things because I was meeting Ashley to study for our writing class exam.

"It's a surprise, but dress nice."

He winked at me and we began to exit Starbucks. I was kind of excited for this because he's never actually taken me out on a date. Don't get me wrong, most of the time I would rather just sit around in his apartment watching hockey. But this is a real dinner date.

"It sounds like he's gonna ask you to be his girlfriend to me," Ashley said after I told her about me and Nolan's plans.

"Maybe. He doesn't seem like he cares very much whether we actually have the label. I want him to but it won't change much about our relationship." I shrugged.

"Have you told your mom about him yet?" Maddie asked from under her covers.

"Kinda. I told her I was talking to a guy but I don't want to tell her who because she'll tell my dad and my dad is like the biggest Flyers fan in the city of Philadelphia. I'll definitely tell them his name before he meets them but in the mean time I'd rather not get constant texts from my dad asking me to bring him over dinner."

"Good point."

At five o'clock, Nolan said he was picking me up at seven, I started to get ready. I didn't want to curl my hair so I just straightened it and bobby pinned the hair framing my face. I picked out a white off-the-shoulder fitted dress. It has long sleeves and came down to about halfway up my thigh.

"Holy shit, Fi! You look amazing," Ashley called, walking into Maddie and I's room.

"I hope he likes white," I said, referring to my white dress and white heels.

"Fiona, you could look like you just jumped into a dumpster, banana peel on you head and all, and that boy would still worship at your feet."

"That is not true." I scoffed.

"You're right, he would take the banana peel off first," She said sarcastically.

I then got a text from him saying that he was five minutes away. I grabbed my gold clutch and started towards the exit of my building. These heels are practically brand new, so I'm still breaking them in, making it hard to walk properly. I prayed to God that I don't fall in front of him. That would be embarrassing.

I saw his black Range Rover pull up and began to walk towards him. He opened his car door and came around to the passenger side, leaning against the side of the car, looking me up and down. His jaw fell open as I get closer to him.
