"Wait when?"
"How?"
"What?"
"Where?"
This was my friends reaction when I told them about David.
"He spoke to you?" Lisa asked with a smirk and I nodded shyly before she poked me in the cheek.
"That's very cute," Lisa linked her thin arm through mine before pulling me to walk in time with her as the others walked behind.
"So do you like David?" Lisa asked excitedly and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I honestly don't know. He seems different in person," I explained and she stopped walking to face me.
"In what way?" She asked as she placed her hands on my shoulder.
"He seems into maths." I said in a complaining tone.
"Is that bad?"
"No but I hate maths. He even gave me a problem sheet to fill out," I said with a slight smile. It was ridiculous and funny at the same time.
"He did?" Lisa asked with a confused look on her face.
"Yes. It turns out that not all expressions are shown in our faces," I said with sarcasm.
Lisa frowned at me. "What to you mean?"
"That there are expressions in maths."
Lisa still looked baft. "As in the way we felt in those maths lessons. Well of course there would be expressions. Expressions of boredom."
"No as in expressions in algebra!"
"Algebra?"
"How did you pass maths and I didn't?" I asked with a laugh and Lisa winked.
"I have my ways now come along!"
I allowed her to pull me into the canteen as she led me to our table where Adam was seated alone. She sat herself next to him before kissing him on the lips.
"How are you?" Lisa asked after she pulled away from him.
"I am okay but tonight I am going to be complete," Adam replied in a husky voice making me bite my lip so I don't laugh.
I took a seat next to Lisa as the other girls sat in front of us.
"Why do you say tonight you would be complete? Is something happening?"
Abbey asked as she wiggled her eyebrows.
"Yes. There is going to be party at my place. And me and Lisa are going to be finishing things," Adam said making Lisa's face turn red.
"Wait you knew about it?" Charmaine asked Lisa sounding slightly annoyed.
"I was going to tell you today at one point and that's now," Lisa removed her arm from Adam before facing us properly.
"So everyone come right? Starts at 10.00pm and ends when you want to leave," all the girls made noises of agreement as I sat still in my seat.
My uncle needs me to 'model' at 11pm tonight. There wasn't a way he would allow me to go to the party and besides I know that after my 'modelling' even if he did say yes I would be so annoyed that I wouldn't want to go.
I let out a sigh. Lisa gave my arm a squeeze making me end my deep thoughts.
"You can come April right?"
"Yes," I answered instantly but in my head I was slapping myself. Hopefully there would be a lot of people in this party so my absence wouldn't be noticed or cared about. Lisa let out an excited squeal as she gave me a hug.
She pulled away before looking at me with wide eyes. "You can even ask David to come!"
I shook my head slowly trying to explain the awkwardness of doing this. David seemed like a nice person but I honestly couldn't imagine being left alone with him in a party.
"Oh come on that would be so cute," Crystal said as the others agreed on this.
"I barely know him. He just messaged me on Snapchat. I don't think partying with him is okay."
"But we can tell that you guys are meant to be," Lisa said with with a smirk. "Why would a guy like him randomly message you?"
I shrugged my shoulder. I pulled out my chicken sandwich from my bag before opening the packet and pulling out one sandwich. I took a small bite from it as I listened to my friends discuss my love life.
"Love is what made this happen!"
Wow!
And cupid shot me when I set eyes on this sandwich is why I picked it.
I rolled my eyes before someone spoke.
"Love made what happen?" I looked behind me to see Alex and William standing there and starring right at us.
"Hey boys!" Crystal said as she licked her lips.
Alex and William smirked before taking a seat on our table.
"About love we were talking about April-"
"You mean Real," Alex said making Lisa roll her eyes.
"Whatever! So we were talking about why a older guy like David would message April who is very quiet."
I could feel the heat in my cheeks as everyone on the table turned to look at me as if I am a problem case that needs to be solved.
"Wait a minute are we talking about David Brooks? Guy with the blonde hair and ridiculous smile," William said and we all nodded.
"Whatever it is don't do it!" William said with firmness and Luke nodded along.
"I remember last year he dated a fourteen year old eventhough he has just turned seventeen. That's how desperate he was," Luke explained.
"Uh so?" Abbey said with annoyance.
"So? The legal age of consent it sixteen and she was fourteen so she wouldn't have been able to sleep with him but knowing him he would have-"
"No no I get what happened last year but April is seventeen and he is eighteen so it's legal!"
"Look all we are saying is the David we know loves having girls in his bed. He doesn't care if they are young, older, confident, shy as long as he knows he can over power you in any way then he is happy," William turned to look me dead in the eyes.
"I think he picked you because he knows you wouldn't argue you a lot and might agree with all he does. But I know your smart April so I am not worried about you."
He stood up and Luke did too before he left our table.
"Bye ladies and Adam!"
Adam snorted as they walked away before going back on his phone.
"What a party pooper!" Crystal said with annoyance.
"I know those two are trying to break a developing bond." Abbey said.
"Don't listen to them April," Lisa said.
My phone vibrated a few minutes later and I checked it to see a message from David. While the others talked about healthy eating I pulled my phone close to me before opening the message then I saw it.
Hi April Someone told me about Adams party. are you going to go if so please let me know. Then we can go together.
I couldn't help but freeze in my seat.
Now what do I do?
