William grabbed my arm and pulled me towards his room and out onto the balcony. He pulled me to black wooden stairs which I hadn't noticed before.

"We can go down this way but once down we have to run for it because the crazy boy might see us."

William let go of my hand before running down the stairs so I followed him. Once down we both ran out for our lives.

"Hey!"

I looked back to see the boy running after us. William grabbed my arm and we both ran faster and made our way down the pavement but the boy was still following us. Me and William had just ran past an old broken bus stop shelter when a black car stopped right in front of us and the window rolled down.

"Get in April!" William shouted causing me to throw myself in the back seat while he got into the front passenger seat. Before William could close the door the car took of in fast speed.

I looked back to see the boy who had been chasing us holding up his middle finger.

Stupid boy.

"How are you doing William?"

"I am tired. Good thing you came at the right time. Me and April almost got eaten alive."

The boy looked at me through the car mirror and frowned.

"Aren't you the girl who ruined our fight?" I instantly recognised him as one of the boys who were encouraging the fight.

His name was Harry.

"Nice to see you again!" I said sarcastically.

"Just drop us down the road," William said as he started to type on his phone. "Your lucky April. The kids played a trick on your uncle and he is furiously chasing them so we have time to get to your house."

I nodded nervously as we got there. Once the car stopped I quickly jumped out and ran to my door step before sitting down.

William got out of Harry's car and went to the white car in front which the children came in at first. The drivers window rolled down and Willam started speaking with the driver.

He then turned and came over to me.

"The kids are running back so I am going to stay away. I don't want you to get in any trouble," I smiled at his kindness before shyly looking away.

William hesitated before walking away.

"Thank you!" I called after him making him stop to turn and smile at me.

"No worries you can thank me properly tomorrow." He winked at me before getting into the white car.

I looked at my phone to see a message from David_123.

Hey April I have seen you around school and decided to add you. Hope you don't mind ;)

I frowned when I saw the message and just as I was about to reply to I heard a lot of footsteps and childish giggles. I looked up and saw the kids getting into the white car.

Once they were all in the car speeded off and soon my uncle came by. He looked ahead as if willing for the car to suddenly come back.

He turned to the side and looked at me with disgust then he walked slowly towards me.

"What a surprise to see my wonderful angel home," I didn't know how to reply so I just looked at him without any emotion. He pulled his keys out and threw them at me making me raise my hands to protect myself.

"Open the door!"

I fearfully grabbed the keys and quickly unlocked the door before pushing it open and allowing myself inside and my uncle. As I reached to close the door I couldn't help but notice that Harry's car was still parked outside my house.

Why is he still here?

I closed the door behind us before handing the keys over to my uncle. He pulled it roughly out of my grip before locking the door.

"In the living room I have news!"

I dropped my bag in the small book corner before taking a seat on the couch. My uncle stood in front of me wobbly on his feet.

"My friend Dennis would be coming over to check on you starting from tomorrow 11pm."

My eyes widened at what he said. Dennis was a creepy old man who always wore the same clothes and seemed to have a interest in me which I hated. Every time he saw me he would smile and lick his dry lips even if I gave him a dirty look.

"Why does he want to check on me?" I asked as I tried to keep in my anger.

"You need to help earn money for rent so I need you to do some modelling," my uncle said before folding his arms.

"Model? At 11pm?"

"Yes," he answered with no emotion.

"I don't feel comfortable with this," My uncle started laughing before he stopped slapped me hard. My head whipped to the side and my hand reached for my cheek which felt like it was burning.

"Like I give a toss about how you feel. You are lazy and so you are going to work!" I remained quiet with my hand on my cheek waiting for him to leave the living room.

"This doesn't mean that I would be home around 11pm so I should expect to see you at the door step waiting. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes," I mumbled quietly but I couldn't help but feel angry at the fact that I can't do anything to defend myself.

After a while of standing in front of me and doing nothing my uncle left and made his way upstairs. I decided to go to the basement which I had turned into my quiet place.

Once inside I took a seat on a bean bag before going on my Snapchat. I decided to reply to the random guy who sent me a message.

Hi I know you said you see me around school but I don't know a David. Are you in the year above?

I watched my phone to see that he was online and was typing which made me feel a wave of excitement and fear. I have never really spoken to a stranger online and would have never thought to especially with a boy. After a few seconds he sent a message.

Yes I am in the year above. I was there when you and William were struggling. I found that pretty amusing ;)

I couldn't help but smile as I sent my next reply.

Me: I will do anything to get my friends in class.

David: So they don't like going to lessons?

Me: They would rather watch boys fight but I don't blame them.

David: How come?

Me: Sometimes it way more amusing to watch boys fight than to be in a health and social care class.

David: True.

I didn't know what to say but I did want him to prove that he is real and that he isn't random.

Me: Send me a picture of yourself.

David: Want a nude already? 😅

Me: No I just want to see you. To know your real and your not a random person.

David: Okay give me a second.

Seconds turned to minutes and minutes turned to hours and yet David still hadn't sent anything.

I put my phone away and got out some unfinished coursework to do.
