Mirror (Changbin Imagine) Pt. 1

You wandered the old castle's library and ran your fingertips over the spines of the wonderful books. You smiled to yourself. You picked one of the books off the shelf and blew a layer of dust off the cover. You looked over the title.

Dead Rose

You looked over to your left and saw a single dead red rose lying on a table. You became curious and cautiously made your way over to it. You picked it up, and as soon as it touched you it withered into ash. You frowned. You made your way back over to the shelves. You walked past the tall shelves, and stopped when you saw a mirror up ahead. It was hung on a wall and was somehow perfectly clean. You stood in front of it and looked at your reflection. You smoothed your lacey white dress, and brushed through your long dark hair with your fingers. You waved at your self in the mirror. 

You giggled at yourself and turned back around, with your back faced to the mirror you couldn't see yourself looking at the back of your head with a small smile.

You sat in your bedroom and brushed through your long hair. You gently hummed to yourself as you sat on your bed in your nightgown. The moonlight casted a soft light in your bedroom through the lace curtains. 

You walked into your bathroom and placed the brush on the counter. You sat down in front of the window and looked up at the starry sky. You searched for some constellations, but you only spotted Venus off the left. 

You sighed and turned around. The mirror from before was placed on the ground leaning up against the wall. 

You looked at it curiously. How did it get up here?

You walked slowly to it and sat back down right in front of it. 

"How peculiar" 

You tilted your head to the side in curiosity. You closed your eyes and let out a yawn. When you opened your eyes you didn't see you staring back. Well it was you, but your white night gown was somehow black. You looked paler than usual and your hair looked wavy. Your lips were red and eyes blue. 

You tilted your head again to make sure it was in fact your reflection. 

You waved. Winked. Messed with your hair. The mirror copied you perfectly. It was in fact you. 

You noticed something in the corner of the mirror and squinted. It was a single rose growing. Soon the roses and vines began to grow more and looked like a frame  around you.

You eyed it curiously and then your reflection started to fade. Soon enough all that was left was the roses. You were in utter shock and that didn't change when you saw something else start to form in your place.
