35. Blood Is Thicker Than Water

*MATTY POV*

"He's one of you," 

Thomas said and I mentally groaned, hoping what he said wasn't what I thought it was. 

Next Generation had been disbanded years ago so that can't be possible and if so, how would Thomas know about it? 

The thought brought a chill to my spine. 

I walked over to him and grasped the collar of my husband's pajama shirt, looking him dead in the eyes. 

"Where are my babies?" I asked him as calmly as I possibly could but it came out as more of a low growl. Thomas put his hands up and pointed upstairs.

"I put them in the bathroom, Matthias, they should be fine," He told me and I let go of him, quickly grasping my sweet Jaydean in my arms and running up the stairs with her on my hip.

"I was so scared Mommy, I'm so happy you're home, Jaydean whispered as I walked into our bedroom to find the floor now covered in speckles of blood. I put Jaydean down and attached her to the door frame.

"You hold this and you don't let go unless I tell you too, got it?" I firmly set her in her place and she nodded as I investigated the bathroom.

The door had been kicked down and there were splinters covering the floor, blood spattered the wall in front of the door along with a bullet hole and our comforter was in the bathtub.

"Babies?" I gently cooed as I lifted the cover only to find there were no babies in sight. My heart froze and fell out of my ass when I saw this as a blind rage flooded my every being. 

"Guys? Mommy's here. It's okay?" I called out as I ran into the closet, trying to find my four precious little ones. 

What if the blood was there's? 

"No, no, no," I pulled at my hair and tried to calm down as I whipped open every closet, drawer, shelf, and hunted for my little angels. 

"RUMI? MIKA? NOVA? NAKOA?" I called out to all of them without a response and I was starting to hyperventilate with panic as the closet was cleared and I went back to the bedroom, checking under the bed only to find an empty space. 

"Babies! Mommy's here!" I called out to them with my voice cracking just a bit as my emotions started to overwhelm me. 

How could Thomas leave them alone at a time like this? 

"Mommy?" For a second I thought I was hearing things and stopped breathing to listen to for the sound again. 

"Mommy is that you?" I heard my baby Mika Ji's beautiful little voice call out to me and choked on my own tears. Hearing it coming from behind me I rushed back into the bathroom

"Baby? Hey, baby? Where are you? Its okay sweetheart," I cooed as I heard small scrambling coming from underneath the sinks. 

"Ah! Baby!" I cried out and accidentally ripped off door to the cabinet beneath the sink with sheer force as I found my precious little Koa and Roo's tear-stained faces. Looking further in, I could see Mika and Nova with Cooper also and I quickly gripped them in my arms. 

"Here, come here babies, be careful, there are splinters so hold onto mommy okay?" I begged them as they came out one by one and into my arms.

Their babbling made no sense as they all cried into my shoulder and I let out a large sigh of absolute relief. Cooper rushed out and sniffed me before going to find his true master and I didn't stop him. Picking up all the babies, two in each arm, I walked out of the bathroom. Not wanting to hurt them or get any blood on their innocent little toes.
