Nine Years Earlier

*Taehyung POV*

"Bridgeport is under attack,"

Prince Henry sits back in his leather chair in the office of the Royal Palace as I looked at the holographic files, notes, and videos floating in the middle of the table.

"What do you want from me?" I asked my cousin and he nervously runs his fingers through his pitch black hair. Pointing to a single file and making it larger.

"This country, our people, our culture, our traditions Taehyung...all will be lost if the west tries to invade. Our spies reported back to us that America is already planning the assassination of my father and I. We will try to prevent it but once that occurs, they think they'll be able to invade and install a democracy, destroy our culture, and take our technology," He explains and spins the article to me so I can read it.

"Once this happens, Finley will become king of our country. My father says it would be a disaster and others say he will abdicate from the throne but I've assessed him. His life, his values, his integrity. I believe he'll be ready to assume the position when the time comes," Henry continues and I press my hands together.

"Yes, that is all fine, we all know this. But what do you need from me?" I asked again and he sighed, giving me a look of pity.

"Taehyungie, Finley will protect this country from the inside. But we need someone to protect us from the outside. Someone invisible who can walk among the shadows. And I've decided the only one who can do it, the only person I trust, is you," Henry announces and but I remain unamused.

"What does this mean?" I asked and he removes the holographs from the table about his future death and pulls up a live feed of a prison cell.

"This is live footage of prison cell located inside mount Dom, in Switzerland," He says and I look closer, shocked by what I saw.

"Uncle Peter and Uncle Joseph? What are they doing there Henry?" I asked, trying to suppress my anger and Henry tilts his head.

"We've discovered this just a few days ago Taehyung," He says and turns the video off, his gray eyes peering into my own.

"Taehyung, with the country at risk, sacrifices have to be made," He says and I gulp, feeling like I didn't have much of a choice at this point.

"What about my husband and Mahina? Can they come with me?" I asked and he cleared his throat.

"Your husband's death can be arranged with yours, but your daughter's would raise too much suspicion. We have to be careful, especially with this family. I'm sorry Taehyung but she's going to have to stay behind. Don't worry though, by default she'll go to live with Pierce and Mika. I'm sure those two would only give her the same upbringing you would," He says and I nodded.

"She's not even a month old...she won't even remember who we are," I found myself saying aloud and he gave me a slight smile.

"But isn't it better that way?" He says and I hold my breath. Neither of us says a word for a few moments and the silence gets so dense that it's suffocating.

"There will be an avalanche on mount Dom, I will give you the tools to survive but everyone must believe you're dead. We won't get this opportunity again. Goodnight my cousin and good luck," He says and stands up, fixing his tie before leaving the room.

I closed my eyes, knowing my mission and drained every emotion from my body except the ones necessary, going numb to it all.

I allowed myself to smile, just the slightest bit.

Because although Henry had put me in an eternal prison.

He would actually be dead within the next few weeks.

I stood up from the table and prepared for my final mission.
