46. The Zookeeper

"Unnnng,"

I groaned as I washed my face and let the water drip from my chin to the sink. I slowly rubbed my flat stomach, feeling a little sick for the past two days but not thinking into it too much. I was a bit bloated but its not like I'm pregnant, thankfully. 

I sighed as I got a towel and some tylenol from the drawer. Drying my face before gulping down a few pills.

"Are you ready mom?" I turned to see Jaydean standing in the doorway to the bathroom dressed in a jeans and a white off the shoulder crop top that made her look sixteen, not nine.

"Child, what on earth are you wearing?" I asked her and she looked down, brushing her beautiful red hair to the side.

"Oh? Does it not match?" She asked as she got chapstick out of her purse and I put my hands on my hips.

"I don't know where you got that, but you need to change your shirt. You're not leaving our house looking like a teenager." I point to the door and she pouts in response.

"Of course I'm going to wear this and you can't stop me," she huffs and I raise my brow.

"Over my dead body, go change. We're going to the zoo not fashion week," I tell her again and she let's oit an obnoxious groan.

"FINE!" she tells as she leaves my room and I roll my eyes, walking out of the bathroom and looking in the mirror. I was looking like a total dad in my black t-shirt and cargo pants but that's good considering I wanted to stay invisible.

"Mommy!" I looked over and saw my sweet Mika Ji looking adorable as always in his little dinosaur hoodie and tousled brown curls. His dimples showing as he ran into my arms with a smile.

"Ay baby you're getting heavy. Pretty soon I won't be able to carry you," I warn him and he gasps.

"No mommy! I want you to carry me forever," he cries out with his cute little high pitched voice and I tickle his side.

"I'll always be able to cuddle you," I tell him and he sighs.

"That's not good enough," my three year old pouts and I walk out of my room to catch Samantha bringing the rest of the quads downstairs. All of them in their matching dino hoodies and smiling.

"We're going on a trip! On our little rocket ship! Flying through the sky! Little einstein!" They sing together and Jaydean comes out of her room, this time in a blue jumpsuit with a jean jacket.

"Wow! So much better," I congratulate her and she crosses her arms in anger as she stomps down the stairs.

"I love you!" I call down to her and she turns on her heel as I grab one of the two diaper backpacks.

"I love you too mommy," she says and goes back and forth between the two.

I reach the last step and pull her tiny shoulders close to me in a sideways embrace with a little monkey on my other arm.

"Let's have a good day sweetheart, okay?" I ask her and she nods.

"Okay,"
