"You're going to leave without saying goodbye!?"

I called out to my stupid brother as he tried to escape in the shadows.

The fighting had ended, the bodies being picked up by Taehyung's special agents, Luca was with the babies, and I was holding Thomas after he fainted in the middle of the fight.

I watched as my husband's brother was dragged away.

I shouldn't even say brother, considering how much of a jackass he was.

Speaking of jackasses.

I wasn't letting this one off that easily.

"What about dad? Appa?" I asked him and he turned around.

"What about them? Are they okay?" He asked and I gulped. Seeing the pain in his large gray eyes just mentioning them.

"Taehyung," I stood up, letting Thomas slip from my arms and leaning him against the couch as I stood up and faced my brother.

"Stop, nothing you say could make me stay," he warns and I sighed.

"Tae-ah, we miss you, I miss you," I tried but my words weren't strong enough as he comes forward.

He ruffles my hair a bit and looks around.

"Do you see this? What happened here? Today isn't rare, you family isn't a special case Matthias. The people of Bridgeport are being hunted and your child just happened to be one of them. I need to help them Matty, it's my job. And sometimes my service comes before self. I'm giving my life so that others may live." Tae explains and pulls his hand back.

Thomas groans a bit and I look down to see if he was okay, but by the time I looked back up, my brother was gone.

And it was like I lost him.
All over again.
