Street Bound

Chapter 9

The snapping of jaws could be heard as Taylor and Rebel took off after Sasha. The shepherd and chihuahua stayed behind snarling at Raven who paid no attention to them. Her eyes focused on Sasha, and Sasha only.

Bobo the chihuahua leader snapped at Ravens hock causing her to yelp in surprise and whip her head around to snap at the chihuahua's neck. She happend to grip a small chunk of flesh ripping it off.
Bobo howled in agony as she jolted backward. This action caused Keesha the Shepherd to snarl even louder then before, and get even closer to Raven, so close that Raven could feel her breath making her shudder in disgust.

Raven spat the chunk of flesh on the ground as blood dripped down her muzzle. Her tongue flicked out and licked the drips as she kept her focus on the shepherd waiting on her to make her next move. She was being quite risky letting the shepherd take the next move first, but it was all part of her plan.

The shepherd made an obvious attempt to snap at Ravens tail. Raven seen this attempt and quickly turned causing Keesha's teeth to sink into her thigh instead of her tail.  Raven bit her tongue to not let out a yelp as that would show weakness. She glanced down at her wound as the shepherd retracted her teeth, but Raven didn't ponder to long as she grabbed right onto Keesha's scruff catching her off guard. She thrashed the extra lying skin feeling her grip loosen Raven let go the feeling of the rich soft fur covered in face.

As Raven was spatting out the fur she ripped from Keesha. She was then taken off guard herself as the shepherd, being much larger, grabbed Ravens entire back leg. She picked her off the ground as the crunching of Ravens leg bone could be heard for miles as it was so loud. The shepherd thrashed Raven around sinking her teeth deeper and deeper into the muscle.

Raven could feel herself fading knowing she didn't have long before she was completely gone, but at least Sasha was safe. Well she hoped Sasha was safe and kept running when she told her too. Raven being caught in her own mind was then ripped from the thoughts when a brown wrinkled dog clashed into the shepherd causing her to let go.

Raven hit the ground with a loud thud as she cringed as this put her in more pain then she was already in. She then attempted to stand but failed not being able to even feel her back leg. The only thing she could do is whine in her misery and thank the brown wrinkled dog for saving her thus far.

Sasha appeared above her, but was very fuzzy in her vision. She could hear her mumbles but they sounded very far away "..she isn't looking good... what do we do?" Raven then heard an all too familiar male voice speak up. It was Zeus. One of the first dogs she met in her time in the shelter "...she's losing to much blood to just heal on her own." She then made out another familiar voice this time Female. ".. as much as I hate them we need to result to the humans. They are her only hope." This voice was recognized as Zuma the shepherd whom she also met in the shelter.

Raven let out a groan trying to move again when she felt a wet tongue behind her ear. "Try not to move to much Rave. We are gonna help you I promise" She then felt a single wetness hit her as everything went black.
