Street Bound

Chapter 22

It was as if everything was running in slow motion except for her. She whipped her head to the right to see Lyla taking off. Her back legs pushing off the ground. She watched her leg muscles ripple in proudness. Her teeth were bared as she went after the brown and white shepherd. Raven then whipped her head to the left seeing Zeus and his wrinkly self puff up to show dominance as he went after the Pitbull twins. She also caught Zuma pushing Acer and Nix to Bronx who already had Amber and was leading them to a hiding spot in the bushes. Raven sighed in relief. At least the pups would be alright, and whatever happened here, hopefully they would continue on their lives without any of this mess following them.

Raven watched as Sasha came and stood next to Raven. They nodded at each other as they starting taking dogs on three at a time snapping their necks quickly as they were not very trained dogs and were easy kills. She heard a quick whine as she watch Zuma sink her pearly white K9s into ,Milo the black and white collie like dog. She watched the life drain from his eyes and from the distance she could hear his dying yelp. She couldn't help the pity she felt for the poor kid. He didn't want this, but he did join the bad side most likely thinking it would improve him, but instead he ended up a dead dog.

Suddenly everything came back to her in full motion. All the teeth clashing together. The sound of the claws ripping against the flesh of all the other dogs. She looked in front and seen Keesha spitting the flesh of what looked like a pups pelt. Raven gasped thinking maybe Keesha found the pups. She quickly turned away from Keesha as she heard the shepherd snickering behind her taking her time getting over to Raven. What Raven saw broke her heart into a million pieces. There lay Amber and Nix on the ground. Dead. Flesh,fur, and bones were everywhere. Tears filled Ravens eyes, as she crumbled. She turned to Keesha with Rage. Snarling loud holding her stand and veering her back up. She stalked toward Keesha and lunged at her grabbing onto her front leg. Keesha was definitely surprised by this sudden courageousness coming from Raven. As she sunk her teeth into Keesha deeper. The female shepherd sunk her teeth into Ravens weak spot. Her back end. Right in the same spot where she bit before.

Raven yowled in pain as she let go of Keesha's leg and went for her tail. Keesha was surprised by the amount of pressure the small dog put on her tail. This pressure caused her to let go of Ravens back end. The jack russell seen an opportunity and took it letting go of Keesha's tail. The two dogs stood circling each other. Blood dripping down both of their snouts. "Is that all you got?" The shepherd laughed evilly making her truly look like she lost all of her sanity. Raven snarled louder. The rage that flowed through her was amazing. It quite almost literally tuned her white fur red. Maybe the blood helped with that too, but that's not the point.

Suddenly Raven felt power surround her as she looked to see her pack. Blood dripping from their snouts as well. All of their lips curled in fury. A look of fear crossed over the shepherds face as she looked around seeing that all of her army was slaughtered. She backed up snarling one last growl at the Jack Russell before turn tailing and running off. Raven was about to run off after her when a large brown paw was placed in front of her. "Let her go like the coward she is." It was Zeus as he rumbled. Raven sighed "I'm assuming you know about the pups." With a quick nod Raven sighed as Zuma's ears were completely flat against her head. 

Raven felt pity for her friend. She also felt pity for Sasha as she also lost her pup. She watched as saver emerged from his hiding place. All the blood drained from his face as he most likely will watched his sister and friend get slaughtered. Zuma pulled him in and wrapped her head around his back crying softly for the loss of her pup. Raven trotted over to Sasha and did the same as Zuma. As a sense of comfort as Sasha cried hard. "It was the last thing of Marteau I had left. Now he's just a memory." She whispered the last part. Sasha pulled back her head and looked into Ravens eyes and suddenly smashed her lips to Ravens. Raven was surprised to say the least but kissed her back never-less. She could see Zeus behind them giving Raven a very disapproving look, but she could careless and she knew as much as he didn't approve of the two together he would always support her. Because that's just the type of dog he is.

The group stopped what they were doing all together as they heard the bushes rattle. Zeus stepped forward snarling as Lyla was at his flank snarling and soon the entire pack was. What emerged from the bushes surprised all of them. A golden chihuahua came out shaking slightly. "Z-Zeus?" The Male small dog stuttered quietly. Zeus stares in shocker the small dog. "LUCKY!" He ran at full speed tackling him. They were laughing and jumping around like young pups while the pack stood behind confused. They stopped playing and Zeus looked to the pack "Guys this is Lucky. He was like my street brother. We lived together in an ally for a while until I got picked up by the pound, and now here he is again and I can't believe it!" He laughed as did Lucky l. Raven smiles in awe. Zeus needed this to help cope with the loss of his one pup.  "Lucky this is my pack. That's Raven my beta. This here is my mate Zuma and our pup Acer. That's Sasha, and finally over here is Lyla and Bronx" it was was if the world stopped between Bronx and Lucky as they gazed into each other's eyes. They ran forward clashing together is perfect harmony.

Raven snickered "I always knew he was gay." Zeus stared dumb founded. It was as if they were soul mates. "What the actual Fu-" he was cut off by Zuma shushing him. It was a happy and sad time for the pack, but all would be normal once again.

Deciding they have all had enough for one day they head back to the pack dens for the night. Lucky And Bronx together. Sasha and Raven together. Zuma,Zeus, and Acer together. Then there was Lyla... she was kinda lonely, but it didn't bother her to much as she was happy got her friends all being together. The night was peaceful at last. That is until the next morning..
