Street Bound

Chapter 15

"RAVEN HOW MUCH LONGER MY PAW PADS HURT!" Raven sighs hearing Lyla complain for what felt like the 100th time. She turns around stopping and Lyla doesn't notice and trips over Raven landing with a UMPH

"We have only been walking for an hour!!! Remember the rules!? No annoying me or your out! This was your warning!" Raven grumbled and kept walking as Lyla followed holding her tongue about asking how much longer once more.

The two kept traveling all day occasionally stopping for a water break but not for long as they had much ground to cover. As the sun was beginning to go down Raven heard a deep rumble and quickly turned around on defense. The silver dog quickly blushed "Sorry my stomach is hungry" Raven sighed once more "Okay it's getting dark any-who. Well will make  camp here for tonight." Raven trots around and find some nice soft brush and rips it up with her teeth and places it in front Lyla. "Your bed."

Lyla stands there dumb founded looking at the "bed" Raven groaned "what now?" She stared intently at the female who looked at Raven. "You expect me to sleep in some grass that you call a bed? Something that grew in the wild and is probably covered in bugs!?" She shrieked the last part causing Raven to cringe her ears folding back.

Raven just stared at Lyla. Like really stared. "Oh hun if they affects you, then you outta go back now. This is just the cherry on the milkshake dear." With that she turned and trotted into a deeper part of the woods to catch some dinner for the two. As she assumed Lyla had no idea of Hunting.

She hunkered down sensing a rabbit about 20 feet ahead of her. She slowly but surely army crawled toward the prey. Just as she gets ready to pounce a big barking clambering dog goes right for the rabbit. Of course she didn't catch it as the rabbit ran off. "I ALMOST HAD IT! YOU RUINED OUR DINNER!" Raven snapped at the dog who just so happen to be Lyla. She bared her teeth at an already whimpering Lyla. "I-I'm sorry I j-just wanted to help!" She tried to spat out but Raven wasn't having it. "I do hope you learn your manner over night or else your out! I don't have time for this! I have way to much drama to return to as it is! My so called "girlfriend" is pregnant with her ex's pups. My pack member is hurt! We just killed a rival pack! To top it all off I GET TAKEN AWAY!" She finished her rant off by panting like crazy. Lyla just stared at her wide eyed but said nothing trailing back to the bed placing her head between her paws.

Raven followed back letting out a sigh "Lyla I'm-" Lyla cut her off "no no need to explain yourself. I understand your going through a lot right now and I'm sorry for making matters worse. I do hope you give me another chance. Goodnight." She flipped over leaving Raven standing there dumb founded.

'Hopefully the morning will be better' she thought to herself before going over and curling up against Lyla. Falling into a deep slumber.

Raven was the first to wake as soon as the sun was up. She didn't sleep much as her mind was wildly working all night asking questions trying to figure things out. She got up and went hunting once more being successful this time catching two rabbits. They wouldn't fill much, but they would hold them over until they got back to the pack. It had been almost 5 days since Raven had seen Sasha. Her heart was still hurt, but being away helped it heal a little easier. She knows it's just going to be ripped open again once she sees Sasha and her growing stomach.

Lyla was awoken as Raven dropped the rabbit in front of her. "Eat." Was all the said as Raven tore into her own finishing it in just moments as Lyla picked through hers. Raven finished with a belch. "Let's get moving we are almost there."

So the two traveled together but this time in complete silence as Lyla didn't wanna piss off Raven any more than she already had. The two arrived to where camp was. Raven was first greeted by Bronx. "RAVEN!!! Where have you been!? Everyone's been worried about you! We missed you and-" he was cut off by Raven walking forward and wrapping her neck around his "I missed you too." She moved back and Bronx was wagging his little tail happily. "This is Lyla she is joining our crew." Raven nodded to Lyla "This is Bronx, probably the most chill one of us all." Raven chuckled softly

Raven left the two to get to know each other and went in search of Sasha. She knew they needed to talk and she was ready to get the heart break over with once and for all.

She trotted towards Sasha's place and once again her heart shattered to piece as she seen  Marteau and Sasha cuddled up together. Sasha had her neck wrapped around his. Raven bit her tongue as she walked up to the two. "So much for working it out huh Sasha?" She spat the last sentence as Sasha looked up in shock "R-Raven!? We all thought you died!" She gasped.

Raven scoffed "Don't give me that bullshit. Bronx didn't tell me that he said y'all missed me but that was it, and for me being 'dead' you move on rather quick!" She snarled at Marteau who shrugged his shoulders. 'This male was awfully fishy' she thought.

Sasha sighed standing up "Look Raven your right I knew you weren't dead, but what do you expect me do!? He's the father of my pups and my pups won't grow up without a father! I won't and can't do that to them! They deserve happy parents. What we had it's gone Raven. It's Gone. I'm sorry. I love him. He was my first love and I plan for him to be my last."

Raven stood there in shock. She felt numb once more her heart breaking more than the first time. "okay. Fine. Do whatever makes you happy Sasha." She snapped turning around and began to walk away before she turned over her shoulder and spoke once more "so much for loving me forever eh?" Without waiting for a reply she turned and trotted off. She kept her face masked and buried her feeling deep down. She refused to feel anything anymore as all it brought was P A I N.
