Street Bound

Chapter 11

Raven awoke to the smell of grass and dirt all around her. Her bright amber eyes squinting at the sunlight trying to blind her through the trees.

She was finally able to open her eyes fully. She used her two front legs to left her small frame off the ground. She groaned raising her head up to come snout to snout with no other than the dog she least wanted to see right now. Sasha.

Immediately she started blabbering "Raven please let me ex-" Raven cut her off holding her paw up. "Save it Sasha. I think I've heard or rather seen enough." She snapped emotion thick in her voice as she hobbled around her. As her leg was still not healed quite yet.

When she felt she was far enough away from Sasha she felt a dampness swarm her eyes as one by one warm wet tears fell down her face. She stifled a sob as she cried. Cried for the betrayal she felt for the one dog who she fought for. The one she loved with everything in her. Now all she felt was a familiar numbness surrounding her once again broken heart.

Lost in her thoughts she felt a damp nose press against her shoulder. It was Bronx. The small dog she deeply injured before. The one who got her into this mess to begin with. His thick long tail wagged a little as he spoke with his high pitched voice "You okay Raven?"

Raven didn't speak as more tears fell down her sad face. She was heartbroken. Who knew a heart break could hurt so fucking much. She thought to herself as more tears ascended down her fluffy cheeks. She felt a frame curl up next to her. She looks down with her tear blurred vision to find Bronx. Eyes closed pressed into her side. He wrapped his head around her neck in a friendly way. Letting her know he's there for her.

All that could be heard through the normally quiet woods was the cries coming from the small female. Her body shaking with sadness and pain.

After a few long and painful minutes she stopped crying and just sat there in Bronx's comforting embrace. She know thought of him as the younger brother she never had.

Bronx was he first to pull away "Better?" He asks with a sad smile. He never knew what heartbreak could be like as he never loved someone. Not yet. He wondered if he ever should love anyone as it seemed quite painful, and he hated to be in pain of any kind.

Raven started some small talk with Bronx getting to know him a bit better as she hardly knew him at all. While she was talking she noticed Bronx quite distracted by something behind her. She slowly turned her head to see the familiar yellow fured dog she gave everything to. It was Sasha once more.

She stared blankly at the female. The female who ripped her head out stopped on in it and then shoved the pieces back into her chest. Bronx stood up breaking Raven from her thoughts "I'm gonna go check on Zuma see how she's doing." He then peeked wheels fairly quickly out of the area. Little asshole Raven internally groaned to herself before turning her attention back to Sasha

"Before you cut me off and walk off again please please hear me out Raven." Sasha stared at Raven with sad eyes her tail dropping between her legs

Raven sighed thinking for a few moments before nodding in agreement to Sasha's plead to speak her mind. The Labrador jumped for joy knowing she would be able to tell what really happend.

"We sent Zeus to look for you as he would be able to get you in and out without a trace. I was so worried that y'all would get caught I paced around in front of Zuma and Zeus' den for ages until Zuma got annoyed by my pacing and she told me to pace else where. Anyway I went elsewhere when I rammed into a hard fluffy chest, and to my surprise it was a very familiar golden retriever. His name is Marteau. My humans and his humans spoke to one another about breeding us together. So of course they wanted to get use acquainted together before they actually did it. I happen to develop feelings for the male as he did for me." Raven listener her heart breaking even more at every word she spoke but she continued to listen

"So we began hanging out more and more until the humans got into and they took Marteau away. I was broken but I healed overtime. When I seen him earlier all the emotions came flooding back and the kids just sort of happend? I guess you could say. But I don't love him Raven. I love you" she finished with a tear streaming down her face

Raven whined confused on what she should do anymore. She didn't have time to ponder long as Bronx came rushing toward them "QUICK! Zuma is missing!" With that being said they all fled to Zuma and Zeus' cave.
