Dani's POV
"Just six more days from today, baby," Demi said into the phone right when she answered.
"That's so long," I groaned. I opened my locker and put my books in my locker, switching them out for Anatomy.
"I know. I need to hug you and feel your lips against mine and smell your lavender shampoo.I'm just glad we can be together for this holiday. I missed you like hell during Thanksgiving."
I smiled. "Anything else you missed about me?"
"I could say my whole list of what I miss about you and not even be halfway done by the time I'm in Dallas," Demi said and I smiled. I really wanted to tell her I love her but not over the phone. Six more days, just six more days.
"Dani," someone called and I turned around to see Liana headed my way.
"Hey, Liana," I smiled. I wanted to avoid her but that would've been stupid. We were both drunk and nothing even happened. Plus, we ended up being partners in Anatomy so avoiding her didn't even last 4 classes.
"Who are you talking to?" she asked.
"My girlfriend," I said and she smiled.
"Hey, Dani's girlfriend," Liana said into the phone.
"She seems nice," Demi said, not even trying to mask the jealousy in her voice.
"She says hi," I told Liana and Demi snorted. I had to contain my laughter. Demi was so cute jealous.
Liana looked at the door of my locker and raised an eyebrow. "Why is there a little poster of Demi Lovato in your locker?"
Demi started laughing.
"Oh, uh, she's my idol," I said, trying so hard not to blush.
"Right, I forgot. Mason told me that you're like, completely obsessed with her. I heard you got to hang out with her at Disneyland. You're girlfriend must have some serious competition." Liana joked.
Demi was now bursting with laughter. I don't know where she was at the moment but wherever it was, she was probably on the floor.
"Oh she has competition alright, but not just against Demi Lovato," I said, changing my tone to flirty and winked, and Demi instantly stopped laughing.
"Don't wink at her. I know you did and that is walking on a very thin line, Missy," Demi all but growled and I laughed at her.
"You're so adorable," I said.
"I don't like sharing," I could hear the pout in her voice.
I looked at Liana, now talking to a couple of guys, then looked away and lowered my voice. "Don't worry, babe. Remember, I'm obsessed with you." She started laughing again.
The warning bell sounded to get to class and Liana turned back to me.
"We better get to class, we're going to be late," she said and I nodded.
"I have to go, baby," I told Demi. "I'll call you when I can. See you in a week."
"Alright, babe. Good bye. And don't wink at anyone." We hung up and I slammed my locker shut.
"So someone is having a party tonight, since we're getting off for Winter break. I was planning on going. Care to join?" Liana asked as we walked to class.
"I don't know," I said. "Last time it didn't end well."
"Ok, about that, I'm really sorry. I was drunk, we both were. That's not even the worst thing I've done drunk. One time I actually danced on a table. . .naked." I laughed and she smiled. "Anyways, I don't even want to be with you like that. Don't get me wrong, you're gorgeous and you can call me anytime it doesn't work out with you girlfriend, but I'm not a bad person. I won't sleep with or hit on anyone who has a girlfriend, at least not when I'm sober and in the right state of mind. So let's just go to this party but be smart this time."
