Prompt: When Hiccup has to choose between Astrid and Toothless

Set in RTTE S6

Hiccup and Astrid were patrolling the island, they did it together every Monday. There was rarely a time where they chose to do patrol without each other, unless it was absolutely necessary. Like, life and death.

Patrol was rather boring by itself, but with each other's company it was really something they could look forward to. A time together alone without the gang to bother them. After truly checking over the island and making sure the Edge was out of danger, they'd settle on the ground under a tree, by a river, wherever, they'd share lazy kisses and cuddles, using the excuse of patrol to spend time with each other.

After sweeping through the forests, caves and the shoreline and seeing no threats, they landed on a meadow, dandelions scattered across the knee high fields of soft grass.

Hiccup and Astrid dismounted, and Hiccup raised two fingers to Toothless and Stormfly that indicated to keep a look out. As soon as the dragons warbled in acknowledgement Astrid tackled Hiccup to the ground with a giggle, Hiccup falling to the ground with an 'oof', sharing the wide smile Astrid had, snaking his arms around her waist and propping himself up on his elbows. Astrid hugged his middle and laying on top of him, intertwining their legs.

Astrid leaned forward and pressed kisses all over his face, his face scrunching up, tickled, but still beaming as Astrid peppered kisses on his cheeks.

"One week is way too long." Hiccup murmured, the stalks of grass framing their entwining bodies. He ran a hand up and down her middle, her tunic under his fingertips, as Hiccup leans up to capture her lips in his.

Astrid hummed earnestly in agreement, kissing him with equal passion.

Hiccup's fingers traced the hem of her tunic, and Astrid giggled in anticipation as his fingers trailed up her bare skin, leaving fire burning behind his hand, and Astrid pushed herself forward in encouragement.

His tongue had slipped into her mouth as his fingers slipped under her breast bindings but made no effort to undo it, and Astrid mewled, Hiccup smirking and was about to loosen the knot that made everything fall apart when...

Toothless' ears perked up and roared, an alert, warning kind of roar. The one that portrayed, something is coming. Stormfly squawked and flapped her wings urgently, both the dragons
trotting up towards the couple.

Astrid groaned, dropping her head to his shoulder. Damnit, why did there have to be a threat now? Couldn't these trespassers just wait ten minutes...

Hiccup wasn't too happy, either. He growled in frustration and his hand lingered on her skin before sliding out out her tunic, and Astrid pouted at the loss of contact, crawling off Hiccup reluctantly.

"Why can't they wait." Hiccup grunted and got up to his feet, helping Astrid up. Hiccup pulled her in by the waist and pressed a lingering kiss to her frowning lips and she couldn't help but smile.

"After." Hiccup promised, trailing his finger on her cheek and that stole a smile from Astrid before they both mounted their dragons and they soared off into the direction of danger.

Toothless and Stormfly landed on an empty clearing, surrounded by fruit trees, sniffing the air and the ground.

"There's nothing here, bud." Hiccup said, patting the side of Toothless' head. The dragon shook his head and kept on scuffling around the small clearing.
