"Nice job, Ben." I sighed and sat on the couch. "Always have to fucking blow it." I grumbled to myself and took my jacket off. My phone started to buzz. It was everyone in the "Fake Queen" group chat, aka myself, Joe, Gwilym, and Rami.

J- Hey, so not to sound dumb or anything, but should I be more scared of the dinosaurs I came face to face with at nine or this bass?

G- probably the dinos, Joe. Rawr! XD

J- dear god STOP!

R- you all need to get it together, it's not 2013 anymore

G- alright Fred 😘

B- I need some advice guys.

G- what's wrong mate???

J- whatcha need?

B- I like Adeline. I really really do. I haven't felt this way about anyone in my life, but I feel like I just blew it. She had a box of broken stuff and pictures with an ex and I just blurted out and asked what he did to her and I could see the hurt in her eyes and I just feel like I lost everything that could've happened between us. If she were to like me back, of course

G- alright, calm down. I'm sure you weren't thinking when you said it. Maybe go talk to her? Try to at least? If you apologize now, maybe she'll understand. She should understand no matter what because you are kinda drunk.

J- hold on, are you at her house?? And I agree with Gwilym. Just try to talk to her. Adeline is extremely understanding in most cases. Trust me. I accidentally hit her arm, fairly hard, when we had a meeting because I was being stupid, I stopped and started saying "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm horrible!!" Instead of being rude, she gave me a funny look before laughing and telling me it's alright and that she'd probably be doing something dumb too.

B- I just don't know. She went upstairs and I haven't heard anything since.

G- go to her Ben. I'm not going to tell you that again

I got up, sighed, and made my way to the stairs. I stood at the top and listened for any sound of life. There was a door shut, the light on, and slight shadows were seen under the door.

I approached the door and knocked softly. "Hey Adeline?" I heard the lock click and the door opened.

"Yes?" She looked up at me, and I saw the hurt within her.

I couldn't speak, all I could do was hug her. A couple seconds passed by and we still stood there, hugging.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled with my cheek resting on top of her head.

"For what?" She pulled back some and looked at me.

"Bringing him up. Blurting that out. I didn't mean to. It's just-I have a lot going on in my mind right now."

"You're okay Ben. Don't worry about it. I just didn't want to cry or anything in front of you."

"I'm sorry." I shook my head.

"Ben, it's okay. I'm working through it."

"I didn't upset you?"

"No." She smiled and shook her head.

"Okay..good. I don't want to ever upset you."

"Wanna do something? Watch a movie?"

"Sure." I nodded as we made our way downstairs.

"You pick a movie, I'm gonna get us some drinks and snacks."

"Where are the movies?" I gave her a funny look.
