CHAPTER 18: An Unfamiliar Feeling

Today has been really hard in me trying to concentrate on anything, including the important meeting that we had with my pack.

"Alpha?" I heard someone call out to get my attention and didn't snap out of my thoughts of Aurora until I saw a hand wave in front of me and noticed Shane and then everyone else look at me weirded out.

"You okay?" Shane asks me.

"Yeah. Sorry. So, have we come to a decision then?" I asked.

"We have. We just want to know what you think." Shane says.

"I think we need to make sure that if we decide to try and make an alliance with the Red Creek pack, we need to proceed with more caution than usual." I reply.

"Alright. And what about Denton and his men?" I hear Colt ask.

"We'll come up with something soon. However, I hate to do this but we need to cut this meeting short today. I have to get back and catch up on some sleep." I lie.

They all look at me surprised seeing as to how I rarely make an excuse let alone to cut a meeting short. However, I can't wait any longer to see Aurora again. In fact, I'm gonna ask her to go out with me tonight.

Once everyone left the room and Shane went out to talk with some of the guys, I notice Colt walking up to me.

"Yeah?" I ask him.

"You taking my sister out huh?" He asks.

"Yeah. Is that a problem?" I ask him.

"That depends." He replies.

"Depends on what?" I ask.

"Depends on what your intentions are. My sister has been through hell and I don't want her to go through it again. Not while I can help it. Now, Shane has told me that you have the best intentions for my sister and you but I swear that if you hurt her, I don't give a shit if you're Alpha or not and I even die trying. I WILL make sure that you suffer until your last breath. She's all I have left." He says.

I have got to give it to him, he is brave and I also have major respect for him having the guts and balls to stand up to me like that. I do admire that.

"I promise." I assure him with a smirk.

"Good. Well, have a good time." He says with a smile and before walking out, I srop him for a second.

"Wait." I shout.

"Yeah?" He turns to face me.

"What kind of stuff does your sister like? Is she into the romantic stuff or..." I began to ask while trying to hide my nervousness.

"Don't over think it, first of all. And as far as romantic goes, I know that she definitely is into all of that." He says.

"Thanks." I reply sarcastically since I have no idea in how to be romantic and now need to call Jezebel to ask for some ideas.

When I got home, I walked inside and could hear Willow sniffling and crying a little bit as she was telling Aurora about the mother and daughter day coming up at school that they began to do as of last year and I went but I know she would like a mom to go.

I wanted to interrupt and hold Willow in my arms until I overheard Aurora tell her she would go with her.

"Our mate is gonna be perfect for Willow and our future kids." My wolf tells me.

"Yeah but she might change her mind after she finds out what I really am." I tell him.

"Well don't tell her tonight for fuck sake." He says.

"I'm not stupid." I tell him.

I turn off the mind link with him as I hear Willow scream out 'daddy!' And jumps up into my arms.

After sending her upstairs to do her homework after she was done talking to Cindy, I took that opportunity to kiss Aurora and ask her to go out on a date tonight with me.

I know that she was worried when I kissed her that Willow was going to come in and to be honest, as much as I respect and somewhat agree to how she feels about telling Willow, I can't stop wanting to touch her and kiss her. Just being around her makes me feel the way I haven't felt ever. It's more than just happiness, cause that's what Willow always has given me but it feels like something more and I will do what it takes to make sure I try and not screw this up.
