CHAPTER 23: What Just Happened?!?

I can't believe he told me he loved me. I knew he meant it but never saw myself being in this position with him or with anyone really.

When we woke up this morning, we got ready before Willow had woken up and after breakfast, since it was also Friday, Willow was going to be staying home from school and wanted to go to the park.

Unfortunately, Zane was going to be busy but wanted someone to come with us so Jezebel and Colt both offered to join us and to be honest me and Willow both were happy because they haven't had time lately with having to help Zane out that it was nice for me being able to also have a chance to hang out with Colt.

When we got to the park, we had stopped by at first to get some lunch to take with us and laid out a blanket to sit and eat on.

Of course, like usual and like any other kid, she ate a little bit before wanting to go on the playground and having Jezebel push her on the swings. Colt and I were watching them.

"I really like her." I tell him.

"I do too." He smiles.

"I've missed you." I smile at him.

"I've missed you too sis." He smirks.

"Okay, I'm just gonna ask. Why does it feel really weird between you and me? I mean, I know you had been gone for so long but, I don't know, I guess I was thinking our friendship would pick up where it left off. But so far I feel distant from you like there's something you're not telling me." I confess.

"I know. I have felt that way too. I feel we aren't as close as we used to be. And you're my best friend, not just my sister, but, I don't know how to explain it." He says and then all of a sudden, we hear growling.

I quickly turn and look at where Jezebel and Willow are and I see Willow growling and trying to claw at someone. So right away I get up and run as fast as I can with my brother calling from behind me to wait but I just ignore him and continue until I get to her.

Jezebel is having trouble trying to hold her back and I grab her to try and calm her down but as soon as I turn her to face me, Willow's eyes are different colors and her face looks to be almost disfigured and I was in shock and disbelief at whatever it was I was even seeing that I hadn't realized she had clawed at my arm until Jezebel said something.

"Oh my god, Aurora." Jezebel says and then I look down at my arm and see blood oozing out from the claw marks I had just received. It was an accident, I know but damn, didn't think her nails were that sharp.

Willow right away hugged me and started to cry.

"Oh I am so sorry Aurora. I didn't mean to." She starts to cry.

"It's alright. I'm okay. It was an accident." I try to reassure her but she then runs back to Jezebel.

"Come on. Let's head on home, we'll get this cleaned up." Colt says as I notice him looking at Jezebel.

I do have high tolerance for pain and didn't want Willow to feel more guilty so I tried to hide the wincing and how bad it really felt. Though it got harder to bear it the more intense the pain grew.

When we got to the house, I was crying at this point and felt like my arm was on fire.

I went running into the house and right away began feeling myself sweat and feel as though I had a fever.

Then as soon as I stepped foot in the house, I  stop as I feel myself run into someone and I soon see it's Zane.

"Oh my god what happened baby?!" He says panicked as he see's my arm.

"Alpha, she needs help!" Colt comes running inside.

Alpha? Then right before things went black, I heard Willow cry out loud followed with a bloodcurdling scream.
