CHAPTER 25: Does He Even Care?

AURORA

Colt, Jezebel, Willow and I were all at the park and I hear her screaming so I start running towards her and come to a complete halt as soon as I see her holding a kids lifeless body in her arms as she turns her head and growls at me with black eyes and....Oh my god.

I quickly sit up abruptly and catch my breath as I wake up.

"Shh....Baby, it's okay." I hear Zane tell me as he holds me in his arms and rubs my back.

"I had this horrible nightmare." I begin to tell him.

"It's okay. Everything is going to be okay." He cooes.

"You don't understand." I begin to tell him while I pull back a little. "I don't even know how to explain this but she almost looked as though she was....a werewolf." I finally spit out.

I look at him and start to laugh a little bit.

"Oh my god. That sounds stupid." I start to chuckle a little bit.

"No it doesn't. In fact, Aurora?" Zane says in a serious tone with a serious look on his face as he looks at me.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"There's something I have to tell you and I should have told you about it before but...." He starts and then there's a knock at the door and Beta Shane sticks his head inside the room.

"Sorry Alp-Zane." He says.

"What?!" Zane answers frustrated.

"Sorry to interrupt. I need to speak with you though." He says.

Zane looks at me and has an apologetic look on his face.

"It's okay. I'll be here." I smile at him.

He smiles at me and then gives me a passionate kiss.

"I'll be right back and we'll talk." He smiles.

"Okay." I reply.

I then lay back on the bed as he leaves and closes the door behind him. I fell right asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

The next day

I woke up the next day and started feeling over next to me in bed hoping to feel Zane but he wasn't. He must have woken up early, I thought.

So I get up and wake myself a little more then take a shower and get dressed before making my way downstairs.

I felt more than rested. In fact, I felt more rested than I ever have felt in my life.

I started looking around for Willow and Zane or anybody really, but it seems like nobody was home. At least that's what I thought until I saw Willow and some woman who looked to be a little older than me with a short posh bob and dark brown hair like Willows.

"Aurora!" Willow yells in excitement with a big smile as she jumps up from off the floor and runs to me wrapping her arms around me.

"Hi." I greet her with a big smile.

"How are you feeling?" She asks.

"I'm good sweetie. No harm done." I wink at her.

"Good." She says while hugging me tighter.

"Hello." I hear the female that was playing with Willow who is now standing in front of me, looking at me with a smile.

"Hi. Who may I ask are you?" I ask her.
