Orion

4:52am I'm down the road, Kit.

Sera

4:53am Be there in a few.

Sera let out a shaky breath as she finished packing her bag, shoving in her camera and an extra pair of clothes before sipping it shut and throwing it over her shoulder. It was early in the morning, and after getting only a few hours of sleep, Sera was exhausted. Nerves and anxiety ran through her veins as she tried to control her labored breathing, feeling uneased over the situation.

Orion had asked her to meet with him in the early morning, and like any other sane person, they would had laughed it off like a joke. But for her, she didn't, instead giving the weakest reply ever by only saying okay. He didn't tell her where he was taking her, just advising the blonde to wear a bathing suit and something warm for the drive over.

As a precaution, she told him to wait down the road so his car wouldn't wake up here parents while riding over the gravel driveway. She remembered his vintage white Cadillac and how loud the engine was when it roared to life, a beautiful car that was louder than any girls' scream.

Honey still slept in her bed, laying peacefully as Sera was jealous wishing she could cuddle up in bed with her dog to sleep the day away. That option had already left once she agreed to Orion's request.

But she wondered how her friends would react if they knew, especially Jonah. After the ordeal with Presley, she couldn't help but question if there was anything hidden beneath the surface when it came to Jonah's opinion on Orion. He was the one who started the Parent Griller nickname, and the one who seemed to despise Orion the most out of the whole town.

With a shaky breath, Sera ran her fingers through her wavy blonde locks in anxiousness for what was about to happen. Voices telling her he was a murderer ran through Sera's mind, but also the conversations she's had with him over the last several days. It was all conflicting, and doing this in the early mornings before the sun had even risen made it even more complicated.

"Ugh, what are you doing, Sera?" Sera questioned herself as she looked into the tall mirror, scanning over her tired appearance simply dressed in an oversized hoodie and her typical flip-flops.

She wasn't out to impress him, especially in the early hours like this. But with another frustrated sigh, she clenched and unclenched her eyes before walking out of her room, slowly tiptoeing down the stairs and into the kitchen where the house was still quiet as a mouth.

Sera wrote a note down on the notebook her parents would leave in the kitchen, then placing the paper on the fridge with a magnet to let them know where she was in case they got worried. They wouldn't question who she was with, all that mattered was that they knew their little girl was safe.
