"Orion."
With his hands clenched into fists that turned his knuckles a ghostly white, even under the red ambiance lights that hung over their heads, his face excreted anger as he tried to keep his temper at bay. His eyes were almost black as he had his back turned towards a nearly unconscious and drunk Jonah who still laid on the floor being inspected by the nearby party goers.
Jonah was no concern to Orion though as his gaze fell onto Sera who stared at him in shock and anger, only angry over the fact that he was about to start the one problem Koa didn't want happening tonight. She tried to walk away by backing up into the dispersing crowd only for Orion to grab her hand and pull her to him as he stared down at her, his chocolate curls concealing his face, his identity.
"C'mon, Kit. We're leaving." Orion said lowly, his voice vibrating Sera's ears as if it were the music itself.
"B-bu-"
"Let's go. Now. Unless you want jackass to spot me."
Sera let out a shaky breath before nodding her head as Orion grabbed onto her hand firmly with no intention of letting go before dragging her out of Koa's house and into the crisp air of the late summer night. The wind nipped at her skin, both warm and cold as the breeze was no longer comfortable, but adding a chill into the night air.
Quickly running down the stairs, Orion kept his hand grasped with hers, Sera secretly wishing he'd never let go as her short legs tried to keep up with his giant strides. His sneakers and her boots clicked against the concrete once they were on the road where many cars were still parked, old a new alike.
Slowly the sound of the music shaking the aging house began to vanish, no longer rattling their eardrums as they grew further and further away, soon spotting Orion's car just at the end of the road. Not once did Orion look back at Sera, but his hand still wrapped up with hers as he was determined to get himself and her away from the madness.
She didn't know what to think in this moment as everything happened so fast, first starting with Jonah trying to make his move to Orion slamming him on Koa's coffee table, then running out the door without a second thought. Was it smart? She didn't have that answer nor any logic to support this decision on leaving with Orion, the one who started it in the first place.
Yet, she was still thankful for him as he put himself in the line of fire that was Jonah who was trying too hard to have his shot with his little sister's best friend. He may have been drunk, but even Sera couldn't excuse his actions as it went too far, making Orion her knight in black armor, not shining nor bright as his attire was always dark, suiting his mysterious persona.
As soon as they were almost to Orion's car, he began to slow down, his pace shortening in his steps as he then found himself beside Sera as they walked together at the moment, in the silence. His head was bowed down, curls concealing his tanned, chiseled face that hid his emotions he tried to keep at bay. All Sera could spot was his hands that then laid at his sides, no longer holding onto hers as they clenched to show the pale white color in his knuckles.
