In the mid-morning once the sanctuary was open, familiar faces made their way onto the property, faces of those Sera looked forward to seeing every Saturday. A smile graced her face as the engine of an old car sounded off, followed by the sound of slamming doors and quick footsteps running across the concrete parking lot.

With a smile graced on her young face, a blonde with bright blue eyes came running overdressed in a white tank-top and baggy denim shorts; her hair pushed back with a fake yellow hibiscus click that kept the stray hairs out of her eyes. Rosy big cheeks grew more prominent as her doll like eyes fell on Sera dressed in her usual uniform as she stood at the entrance, her arms wide open for the little girl rushing her way.

"Sera!!!" She shouted as she slammed into Sera's chest, giggles igniting from her mouth as the little girl was lifted into the air, then held tightly to the side of her hip.

"Now how is my favorite little visitor doing?" Sera smiled as she rubbed her nose against the button of a nose the little girl had, causing another giggle to leave her pink, sparkly lips dressed in children's lip gloss.

Resting in the safety of her arms was Thea, a little four-year-old girl that belonged to Koa, his heart since the day she was born. With a not so clean breakup and a not so clean background with the law, it left Koa only one day a week to spend with his quickly growing daughter through the court system. But, he made the most of it as he always brought his daughter to her favorite place.

The Dolphin Cove Sanctuary.

With developing close ties with Sera, Koa scored himself and his daughter free passes every Saturday, and a chance to feed the dolphins, a unique experience designated for one a small group of people. It caused Koa and Sera to become more like brother and sister under these circumstances, especially once Sera began showing up at his track.

She was a girl to be trusted with not only his secrets but his daughter as she always did the most to make the best out of his limited time with his little girl. Sera was one of the few that knew of Koa's daughter, someone he could always depend on when it came to Thea, and Sera knew she'd always be there, no matter the circumstances.

"Hey there, kid." Koa smiled as he walked over, twirling his keys in his hand as he gave Sera a welcoming hug. "This one has been off her rail waiting to get here. Someone definitely dumped a packet of suga' in her cereal this morning."

Thea giggled as she buried her face in Sera's hair. "No, I didn't daddy!"

"Come on you two; I got the dolphins waiting on y'all to feed them," Sera said excitedly as she nodded her head towards the park, beckoning Koa to follow as she kept Thea in her arms.
