"Remember we're picking you up for the fair at nine!" Cherry shouted over the loudspeakers of her car once she had dropped off Sera at her home.

Hopping out of the car with Honey hot on her trail, Sera waved goodbye before skipping up the steep staircase and onto the front patio. She fished for her keys in her bag before pulling them out, their jingle causing Honey to become more excited than she already was as Sera put them into the lock, turning it to enter the house.

Immediately she was greeted with the aroma of her mother's cooking, and the sounds of the family record player playing Beach Boy Classics. Her mother and father both cooked together in the kitchen, helping one another around the stove preparing tonight's family dinner. Sera smiled at the sight before letting the door slowly close behind her body, signaling she was home.

"Oh Squirt, fancy seeing you here!" Her father said humorously as he wiped his hands on his apron.

"I mean; I do live here." Sera deadpanned as she kicked off her flip-flops and placed them into the shoe bin. "What's the cooking for anyways? I thought you guys were working the late shift tonight."

Stirring a pot of pasta, Naomi explained from over her shoulder their day at the sanctuary. "We managed to get everything done a bit earlier than expected, and what also came earlier than expected is Beau's new pod! Guests spotted them this afternoon while you were with the girls."

"So he should be set out to leave within the next couple of days. We're planning on Saturday morning so make sure you're home." Sebastian advised as Sera nodded her head in compliance. "Oh, and by the way, you have a guest."

"A guest? Who?" Sera asked in a confused tone, knowing it couldn't be any of her friends.

Flicking his head towards the French glass doors that led to the glass patio, he then walked up to Honey to grab her by the collar gently. "You go see who it is; I'll give this one a bath. Come on Hon; let's get you cleaned up."

With a quick 'thank you' from Sera, she then placed her bag on the floor before questionably walking up to the door that led to the back patio. Chewing on her lip in uncertainty, she put her hand on the gold handles before turning them downward and pushing forward, immediately being with the salty air coming from the ocean waves not even fifty feet from where she stood.

Walking outside and looking down at the water, Sera almost did a double take as she saw the person she least expected to see. Dressed in his usual black attire with his chocolate brown curls bouncing with the gentle breeze, his back remained faced to Sera who almost wanted to strangle him. She didn't know why anger ran itself through her heated veins, but she was angry nonetheless at the guy who was beginning to give her whiplash with his unexpected emotions.

Without a second thought, Sera descended the stairs, her feet meeting the grassy backyard as her house looked over a small cliff and into the open sea. He still didn't turn around to see Sera, nor did he know her presence was only a few feet away as the crashing waves hindered his sense of sound. It wasn't until she tapped him on the shoulder quite aggressively did he turn around.
