"You cold, Kit?"
Sera's body leaned over to her right side, arms holding onto the top of the car door as she let her hazel eyes scan past the greenery flying by. Her blonde waves glided with the wind, a cool breeze falling against her face as she let out a discontent sigh.
Her fingers tapped against the metal of the car as a soft melody echoed from the radio of Orion's car, drowning herself in the music as she took herself away from him. Mentally, she was in an escape, but physically she was in his hold. Plagued with distraught thoughts, it almost made Sera wish she stayed back.
It was uncomfortable, Sera not being used to feeling disappointed in the man she had grown to be fond of, his company once sending her heart to unreadable rates, now at its lowest ever. All she could remember was his lack of charisma and the pain his words brought, words of disgust that made her skin crawl.
"You win you get my car. I win, I get to take little miss Sera out for a ride, or maybe she'll be doing the riding herself."
A shiver coursed through her body, goosebumps rising on her legs and arms as a nauseous feeling rose in her throat. Sera could hear his words so vividly, so sharp, it could cut through the worlds thickest diamond. Doubt came to mind, her head fighting between the light and dark.
She didn't know what to believe, but she knew what she wanted to believe. But either way, her mind still grew continuously angry and disappointed, disappointed over the fact that she was turned into an object for a bet, harmless or not, it harmed her mental state.
"Kit?" Sera remained silent, her gaze looking up at the moon that shined down at the pair in Orion's vintage car. "C'mon, Kit. Talk to me. What's wrong?"
Slowly, she shifted her line of sight, still leaning up against the door as her hazel orbs looked into Orion's chocolate pair that quickly turned to watch down the road he was speeding down. His expression was unreadable to Sera, analyzing him as his hands clenched around the leather steering wheel.
Orion felt her gaze that burned holes into his tanned skin, making his heart accelerate as her emotions were ones he had never seen on the blonde girl. He gulped, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly as he couldn't find the words to say, waiting for Sera to respond to his own.
"Really? You really don't know what you did wrong?" Sera said quietly, her gaze falling to her lap as she spoke.
A confused look grew on Orion's face as his head snapped towards Sera, the car stopping abruptly as his foot slammed on the breaks. Both of their bodies jolted forward as Sera leaned on the front console for support, a gasp escaping her chapped lips.
"Are you fucking kidding me, Kit?" Bitterness lingered on his tongue as he spoke, his brown eyes turning black as he let out a frustrated sigh. "You actually think I meant what I was saying, don't you? I can see it in your eyes cause' you can't even look at me right now, can ya?"
