I stayed where I sat, in my car near the school.  My daughter, all grown up now at age eighteen, headed from my husband's car to the door for her first day of senior year.  I couldn't help it, I started tearing up a bit, knowing that she had no idea that I was here, watching over her.

I slowly thought to myself, does my baby girl believe that I'm dead?  I know that Kellin mourned me, that he never let Anna forget me, even though I 'died' when she was only a few months old.  When I woke up, I knew that they wouldn't believe I hadn't died.  So I hid from them, knowing I was condemning myself to a life without holding my daughter, without my husband's touch.

Next thing I knew, Anna turned and looked me dead in the eye.  She gave a small nod and walked into the school.  Did she really know I was here?  Did she even know who I was?
