fast forward .. it's midnight and the stuff is on it's way
i've rented the vacant house just for this occasion
quiet, safe .. one dim streetlight in the near vicinity
J.D.Hogg arrives exactly on time like he usually does
he calls an hour ahead of arrival so all will be ready
it's falling rain .. cats and dogs .. I step around mud puddles
he killed the headlights and coasted into the horseshoe driveway
all the neighbors are fast asleep .. we remain quiet
he pops the lid to his trunk .. I peer inside and sniff .. mmmmm
what a load .. seven types of sinsimilla .. two types of michoacan
three types of columbian .. all high grade cannabis sativa
after unloading about one hundred and sixty kilos .. we take a rest
I get myself and J. D. Hogg another ice cold beer to cool us down
eighteen straight driving hours in from Mexico
he still has Texas sun burning his skin
before finishing his second beer .. he's out like a light
snoring .. sleeping hard in the living room
i'm in the kitchen with every window covered
so no light will escape to the dark outside
I break down .. scale .. separate .. mark all into pounds
setting aside a kilo each for the remainder of our ring
Kilo had requested rich michoacan .. l'il bruce lee .. columbian redbud
coon dog .. redhaired sinsimilla .. winnie-rodriguez .. columbian gold
they'd sixty pounds each to sell .. leaving me an eighty pound mixture
i'd always take my sweet time .. working until early dawn
firing up the creamy, smooth shake from the columbian gold
the fearless four would arrive soon .. about six thirty
when the sun would just begin to rise
i'd have their high grade stash ready for them
sitting in separate corners of the room
I never failed .. every single time they'd arrived for pick-up
i'd be playing this killer song .. volume a bit low for safety reasons
I couldn't hardly wait for them to come and go so I could get some sleep
we only stop for the best .. a passage to bangkok
