"Just be cool," Jonah said as he wrapped an arm around Kylan's lower back, entering the restaurant, "it'll pass."

"I don't get why I needed to come."

"If she's inviting me, then we're a pack. I don't want you to be jealous, so might as well be there with me, right?"

Kylan groaned, but the feeling of being around Jonah was enough to make him follow.

Jonah searched the restaurant for the familiar pair of eyes, and when he saw them both wave a hand, he smiled and grabbed Kylan's palm, pulling him forward.

"Welcome," Leah greeted Jonah, politely placing a peck on his cheek and doing the same to Kylan, "I didn't know you were coming."

"I invited him," Jonah replied, and then knelt down to his son's level, "How are you Jacob?"

"I'm excited for you to be here Dad!" his son beamed, smiling as he grabbed a seat beside Jonah.

"How have you been kid?" Kylan said to Jonah who waved an excited hand in his direction. Every time he needed to stay with Jonah for the weekend, most of his time was spent with Kylan.

The waiter approached their table, and their order was made. As they waited, Leah turned to Jonah, "Ben wanted to know if you would have drinks with him soon."

Jonah raised his eyebrows excitingly, "Ben? Lord I haven't spoken to him in a while, let me text him right now."

Leah laughed, "Remember when we would all three go clubbing and he pissed in the booth since he was so drunk."

"Yes I remember, he was a wild goose," Jonah reaches for his phone in his pocket, "I should catch up with him."

"Who's Ben?" Kylan asked quietly, a bit uncomfortable.

Jonah returned the phone in his pocket and placed his arm on the top of Kylan's chair, "He's Leah's brother."

"A few years older than me," she added, "he would get us fake ID's all the time."

"That one time we almost got caught though," Jonah laughed, turning to Leah with a smile.

"Yup, I didn't know what the birthday on the fake ID was."

"We were such children. How's everything going with you now?"

"I've been going to massage therapy a lot. I've been having aching at a few of my joints. Jacob has parent teacher interviews and really wanted you to be there," she turned to Jacob who rapidly nodded his head.

Jonah pecked Jacob's nose and said, "Of course I'd be there."

"The house-league soccer team he's been playing for lost their last game."

"The game I was busy with work?" When Leah nodded her head, Jonah sent a hand through his hair, "I wish I could've been there."

"But guess whose joining the team next season?"

Jonah's eyes widened, "Who?"

"Bryce's kid."

"Connor?!" Jonah exclaimed, laughing hysterically, "No way!"

"Yea, and apparently the coach is leaving so Bryce is taking the spot as Coach."

"You have to be kidding me," Jonah was almost in tears with how hard he was laughing, and Leah harmonized with his cackles.

"No, not even kidding!"

"Whose Bryce?" Kylan embarrassingly asked, both of them turning to him and calming down their laughing before finally answering his question.
