"I'm famished!" Sul whined, slumping over the desk, "food!"
"It's still a class before recess, so bear with it,"
I warned gently, clapping my textbooks neatly before shoving them under the desk,
"and please don't use that word, what are you, American?"
"It's ten already! It's break time for the junior students!"
Sul complained, raising a controversy, "I demand justice! and food!"
"Argument invalid, as we are seniors," the response was quick and easy, "now, if you would excuse me, Literature with Miss Rose is at the other end of the hallway."
"You don't understand! this is gastric agony!"
Sul screamed, not literally, "I'm in pain!
Oh wait, I could go to the sick bay, I'm genius!"
Picking up my phone and catching it light up,
I turned it on-- and held my breath, noticing what I was being warned of.
Already, my HP bar was steadily decreasing.

"Sul," I spoke in a deeper tone, subtly clicking on NO, "you'll get blacklisted if you keep making trips over to fake sickness. The teachers in the office aren't dumb, after all."
That wasn't wrong.
"Isn't it fine, we're seniors and all,"
Sul began to pack her stuff, pulling out her wallet and phone,
"it's gonna be reviews and self-study in Calculus with Mr Panini.
Not worth the half hour, y'know?"
HP bar at half now-- it was decreasing rather rapidly compared to the last time...
"If you insist on going, I'll tell him you're calling him a Panini," I threatened, a nervous laugh to make it seem like a joke, "seriously, just bear with it."
When I turned to Sul again, I felt that Sul was utterly disappointed in me--
though, I could only sense neutrality in her expressions.
"You wouldn't say the same thing if you were the one hungry!"
Sul continued with a petty, childish remark-- but her energy was gone.
Pulling out her Calculus notebook, she sighed and gave in.
As I watched my character consume a health potion,
I briefly realized that this may have caused a minor disruption in my friendship with Sul.
What if next time, I'd have to go further than a little petty argument?
Ah, it came to me.
This is what Exterminator was so angry about on day one.
