Why is it always so hard?
Hear a knock. I turn my head and sleep once again. I hear it again. This time, I stand up and look at my window. I found Noah looking at me. I go down the stairs and open the front door. He came and literally crashed into me. I held him by the shoulders and pushed him up. I looked at him carefully and saw a dry tear. I looked up at his eyes and they were watery. I took him up to my room. "Aren't you parents here?" he ask worried. "No they went out this gang thing." I say setting back in bed. We sat in silence for a moment.
"what's wrong?". He didn't answer, and just continued sniffing. I took his hand in mine and faced him. "what's wrong?" I repeated. His look showed it all. I hugged him straight away as more tears filled his eyes to fall on his cheeks.
"my dad. I can't." he said and broke again. I rubbed his back and kissed his cheek. "I can't go back there. The other time I went, he seemed so happy with his new family when me and mum are too broken to be fixed."he said his voice shaking.
" Everytime I go there, he tries to put me apart. The worst part is that his new wife is nice. He's always rambling about how much he loves but he can't see I tired of that shit. " I hug him tighter and he does same. We stay in that position for a moment.
" if you tell him how you feel, maybe he'll stop. You need to get in your mind that your dad wasn't good with your mum. Don't blame it on him, when things don't go well they just don't and you feel the need to leave to make yourself feel better."i say quietly.
" that's the problem it's always about him. Always about what mattered to him. He never apologised. Just because he had nice time playing with his brat, he didn't care about how mum felt ever! "he shouted. I rubbed his back.
"Look, if you're mum is fine with it, it means she has moved on. She feels better now. I think you should do same. Forget or forgive. Try that out and it will be better."i say calmly.
" will you ever forgive you dad once its over? "he says quietly. I look up and him.
" These scars and the pain feels so raw though it was yesterday, so if my pain will always be like this, I don't think I could. You know a moment, he stopped all the shit he did. I forgave him honestly. He accepted it like if it was my fault. But when he started again I couldn't, I don't feel anything anymore. "I say in almost a whisper. I was about the cross the line of what I could take in. When a tear was about to fall, I felt his hand just under My eye. He wiped the tear away and pulled me into a hug. I cryed in his arms and he was just listening. It was weird how the table turned.
"I'll come with you." I say randomly. "Really? Your parents won't let you." he said sadly. "they really think I'm going so why not?" I say smiling.
"Thank you mayleane." he said and hugged me. I could feel the air was getting thicker. He could feel it too. Not wanting to wait any longer, I dived in and kissed him. Like he was waiting for it, his hand met my waist and kissed me harder. I hovered over him dominating the kiss.
I suddenly leaned back and pushed him away. "We need to stop doing that." I say panting. "Why?" he asks innocently.
"because I'm not just this person you can kiss when you want to, then after kiss another person. I'm might have Christina's dna on my lips now. If you keep kiss me like that you need a reason. Tell me something, I don't like being used or worst abused on. So just tell me why you keep kissing me like that. "
" Because I? " he starts.
" because you what? I can tell you why I accept it. Because I needed affection and someone who cared and u seem to be that person. Do you know what that means? I like you at least I can be clear. "
I nearly shout. " You know what just get out I need time alone."I say clearly getting tired. He didnt answer and got out the way he came in. After a few minutes he left, I put my shoes on and left the house. I was jogging around my neighbour,when I see Dani with some guys I turn around and run the other way. But sadly he saw me.
"Mayleane!" He yelled. I turn around and put a fake smile on my face.i run t Looking at him properly, I realise he's drunk. I step backwards but he grabs my hip and pulls me to him. He puffs his cigarette in my face and blows it in my face. Before he got any further, a scary from behind came and pushed him away .
"Sorry for that. What's your name?" He says in a deep voice.
"uh mayleane. Mayleane Moore." I say. This makes him turn pale. He stays quiet till with a dirty smirk on his face he starts speaking.
"oh what a surprise, I'm Derek your dad's bestfirend."
