Mayleane's POV
Noah and I watched the rest of the parasite episodes for the last two hours till the plain arrived. This flight was less fun than the first one but I guess it really wasn't for us to decide.
We were currently waiting in the airport for Noah's mom to come pick us.
It was sad the way everything was just going back to normal like if it never happened. Go back to school and have to see him kiss I don't know which girls.
It's your fault though.
Not really. I prefer protecting him than having to see him suffer just because I wanted him by my side.
Maybe after all this we could have a chance. But right now, we just couldn't. We had too much stuff going on.
A few minutes later, his mom arrives in their graley Mercedes. We put our suitcase in thr car truck and head for the back seats. I loved the way Noah never left me behind alone. He never took the front seat next to his mother and always sat behind with me.
"hey kids how you doing?" she asks sweetly.
"good. We're doing good. I will explain the details once we get home." he tells Nicole.
I lean against the window and watch our serroundings become more and more familiar.
Once we arrived the neighborhood, we could now see my house along with Noah's. I spot my dad in firn of my house door waiting for me to arrive.
We pull up in front and I open the car door. Fuck. He didn't look happy.
Noah takes my suitcase from the trunk and follows me inside my house completely ignoring my dad as he drops it in the living room.
He joins his mom who was currently talking to my dad.
"yeha she spent a good time, Chris told me a bit of it and she seemed really happy. They hope she can come back one day they have grown quite fond of her. Trisha loves her so much and it was just rely sweet." she squeals happily.
But she didn't rise the mistake she had just made.
They hated to see me happy now they really did. And she had just told them that I was.
It really wasn't her fault because it's normal for her to react like this.
My dad's gaze falls to me and I fake a smile.
When Nicole heads back for the car, Noah whispers something in my dad's ear but it doesn't seem to affect my dad one bit.
"it isn't for you to decide that lover boy." he smirks.
Noah heads to his mom and the ride off leaving me with my dad.
I completely ignore him and head inside.
"Where's mom?" I ask curiously.
"she out." he says simply. He was too Calm. A lot to calm.
"what's going on? Why are you like that?" I ask suspiciously.
"like what darling." he answers smirking.
"I'm out of here and run up stairs but he catches me and pushes me back down causing me to bump my head.
" OK dad stop I just came back. Can we do this like after? " I beg.
" Since when do you decide Mayleane? I let you go a few days away amd you start acting up?"
" I'm not acting up. It sjust that I was in a normal family back there. And I was JEALOUS of who beautiful they were and when I come here, I remember I would never have that. Because my dad finds it fun to beat me! " I shout.
This seems to annoy him because he slaps me.
" go to your room. " he says coldly. I obay and head up.
I lock myself in.
I just cameback and things were already turning black.
I hear our front door open and I hey out of my room to see who it was.
I see my mom enter along with two other men.

I sneak down stairs but my mother catches me.
"Mayleane baby you came back." she says joining me in the middle of the dtqirs and pulling me into a warm hug. I couldn't tell if she was joking or not.. But either way, I hug back.
I look at the two awkward men just staring at us till my dad tell them to com in to the living room.
"Mom who are they?" I ask.
"my bodyguards. Whil you weren't there, we got kinda Robbed and we think tu wasn't just a simple robbery. They were looking for something in particular and it's much bugeer than we thought." she explains.
"would I have one two?" I ask worriedly.
"it honestly depends on your dad." she tells me..
"why are you being nice to me?"
"I don't know not having you here made me realise that I'm your mother and I don't act like one moost of the times." she says. I nod and carry on my way down stairs. I take my suitcase and carry it upstairs in my room.
I open it and take out all the clothes and put it back In my wardrobe. I empty my suitcase and put it in the back of my room and prepare my bag for Monday. It was currently Friday so I had the time to catch up my homework.
I take my phone and call Destiny.
"hey yes mayleane." she says laughing. "stop woah" and I hear the phone fall in the floor.
"desi who are you with?" I ask.
"Mike." she answers quickly and I gasp. Oh my god.
"wait what happened why are you with him?"
"I'll tell you on Monday anyway what did you want?" she asks me.
"I just wanted to tell you that I'm back and yeah I guess." I end up saying.
"oh alright well see you Monday. Bye may I bet we need to catch up. On Mike and Noah." she teases and I can't help but all laugh as I hang up.
She seemed real good with Mike. At least they could be together freely. Anyway.
I take out my school books and start studying.
I start doing my maths when I hear my dad swear downstairs.
I tip toe out of my room and down the stairs to see what was happening.
I lean on the living room door eavesdropping when one of the "security guards" catch me. He take me by the arm and pulls me inside.
"Boss look who I found outside the door." he says firmly. My dad's eyes find mine and a sigh comes out his mouth.
"it's like if you're looking for it mayleane."
He was kinda right.
