Mayleane's POV
I quietly wait next to Dani, waiting for Noah to come out of the changing room.
"That kid is tough." He tells me.
"Every one has limits. Be careful not to push them." I warn him.
"Or what? I'll do what I want with him."
"Well I will tell my dad. And he will do something about it." I say.
"The ink Blood leader? Does he even love you?" he smirks. He was trying to get to me. I wasn't going to let him.
"Doesn't matter. Either way, he sees you highly, Almost like a father. Don't ruin that." I say and he doesn't answer.
Noah comes out a couple minutes later with his hoodie.
He didn't look at any of us in the eye as he made his way through .
I sigh as I run after him .
"Noah ! Wait ! " he stops season his tracks but doesn't bother to look back .
I could see him feel so empty . I hug him from behind , and I fell him relax a little .
"Let's go home Noah ." I reassure him and he nods .
A few minutes later , Dani comes our way with a small bag .
"Catch ! You deserve it son ." He says throwing a bag in his direction.
Noah opens the bad seeing cash but he shakes his head closing it before violently throwing it back at him. "I don't want your money ! " He shouts back . He was pissed . I would be too when someone like Dani thinks money can buy anything .
"Then Then what do you want ? What do you want Noah ?" He replies .
"i dont know be free from all this shit !" He shouts back .
That's when Dani begins to laugh .
"You did this to yourself . I gave you a easy way out but you had to fuck it up . You fuck up everything you have. If that little bitch didn't do all this ,you wouldn't have been forced to put a fricking bullet through a young boys skull! " he answers back .
"It isn't her fault . We both know that . "
"Oh No you think that . I have a reputation to hold up . How would it have looked if I didn't punish my youngest fighter for making our stuff get stolen ? Like a fucking coward . So except of getting mad at me ask yourself why everything you do ends up fucking up . It's only a matter of time for that bitch to leave too !" He tells .
Noah was about to answer but I hold him by the shoulder .
" Let's go . Don't let him get to you ." I whisper and he breathes heavily before accepting .
We slowly head for the exit and get into his car .

He was in the shower and I was patiently waiting for him to go to sleep to leave .
He comes out of the shower and doesn't even bother looking at me .
"Noah? "
No response .
"Noah ? " I try again . He was right next to me what the hell was he trying ?
"Noah fuck !" I say louder aware this might wake his mom up .
"What damn it ." He finally replies .
"What did I do to you ?"I ask him .
"Maybe Dani was right. This might as well be your fault . And you might leave . Good things never last forever ." He sighs .
" No . You see he got to your head . I never intended things to turn out this way , I- I thought I was helping . " i stammer .
" I know , I know Mayleane ."he says . He grabs my waist pulling on him for a hug . I wrap my arms around him tightly trying to make him feel better .
"I can't believe I did that tonight. He didn't deserve it ." He mumbles in guilt .
"Would you prefer if it was you maybe ?"
"Yes ."
"It might seem selfish but I'm glad it wasn't you that died tonight ." I tell him.
"i know theres not much i can do to make you feel better but i would like to apologise and thank you for tonight . "
i take his face in my hands and noticed how tired he looked . i didnt want to put myself in his shoes .
"Look i should really get going . i'm quite tired see you tommorow?" he whispers . i don't insist and wave goodye before sliding out .
i see his mom waiting for infront of the stairs .
"Is he okay ? We haven't been talking lately ." she tells me nervously . It was oubvious Noah didn't notice how much his behaviour was affecting his surroundings .
"Yes hes fine he just had a couple issues to deal with tonight ." I inform her .
"thank you for being here for him . " she says puling me into a hug . i return it , a smile on my face .
I head home as i turn the key i had took before . i sneak in with no problem as i run up to my room .
As i turn on the light , i see my dad sitting on the edge of my bed a picture in his hands .
He didnt seem mad , angry or anything . he was pretty nonchalant .
"Were you with Noah ?" He asks me and i nod .
"Everyone down there is talking aoout him . They all want a young fighter like him . They all want money ." he tells me.
" Well that's a shame because iin a couple of weeks or moths Noah will no longer fight whatsoever" i confeess but he just laughs a that .
"Only if you dont fuck up Mayleane . That boy is ready to do anything to not cause you pain ." he says thoughtfully .
"So you knew that this would happen ?"i question and he nods .
"Maybe you will feel how it is to lose a loved one , or maybe you won't."
"You know , i sat down and thought about the way I treated you these last years . I didn't recognise myself . I want you to know that man wasn't me. I let myslelf be guided by the negative and that wont happen again . Just tell yourself that fro now on, i've changed . " he cconfesses and i stay quiet in shock.
"I'm sorry."
