After having our breakfast, Chris told us to get ready because we were going to go to the town's festival with the family. Noah was hesitant but he ended up accepting. I still wasn't on the best terms with Noah but I wasn't going to make a fuss about it.
I chose to wear the same uniform as this morning and just add a blue jean jacket with my converses. Noah didn't even put any effort in his outfit.
We were on our way there and both Noah and I were behind Chris, Trisha and the children, our eyes wondering but never meeting. I didn't really know what were going to do at the festival but I was hoping to make new friends .
When we arrived, Trisha gave us a certain amount of money.
"alright teenagers, il me and trisha are bringing the kids to their play ground you go have fun we will call you later." Chris said. I nod but noah just turns around and makes his way in the festival.
"uh sorry he's quite tense these days" I say to Chris and trisha.
"oh it's fine honey go join your lover." I blush at this comment and run off to catch up with Noah.
"hey wait for me Noah!"i shout finally reaching him. But once I reach him, I see a girl by his side. I didn't notice earlier because there were so many people around.
"who are you?" I ask confused. She laughs and puts her hand on my shoulder.
"I'm Noah's friend. Sarah." she says and Noah's laughs. Why the hell was he laughing. What was so funny.
"Ok well I'm mayleane" I say quickly and she nods and moves back to Noah's side.
"well Noah you didn't telle you had friends here." I say.
"yeah we met a yesterday when I went out." he answers.
Oh. So when he left me alone with his dad and his family, he was out with another chick doing I don't know what.
"when you left me and you went out? Oh so you were with her? It explains everything." I say annoyed.
"Hey don't make a fuss about it it's fine." Sarah says.
I try my best to not shoot her a glare .
"yeah you're right I mean it's not as if e were a thing and all. I'm gonna go ahead and check the food over there." I say waving my hand. They nod and I'm shocked when Noah doesn't even tell me to stay.
I go to the food stand and order a pancake with sugar. Waiting for it my eyes wonder around and my eyes land on Noah that now had his arms around Sarah's shoulders.
And once again they were laughing. I don't know what he was trying to do if it was making me jealous, then it worked but I wasn't going to admit that. He must have really connected with her last time to be this close to her now. I don't even know why he ditched me that easily like do I really mean nothing to him?
"uh madam I said you're order Is ready." says the man heading my pancake. I take it and nod to thank him.
As I was about to leave Noah calls me. He was alone again. I wait for him to be by my side to ferry on walking.
"what?" I say rudely.
"jealousy ain't a good look on you may." he whispers. So for him it was a game?
"you think this is funny? You just leave me alone and go see this chick two seconds after your dad's family leaves us. A chick you just met you put her above me? I guess I'm literally no one." I say walking faster.
"Mayleane don't take it like that it wasn't serious." he says trying to reassure me.
"for you Noah."
"come on I'm sorry OK? I didn't think it would hurt you. Plus Sarah and me are just friends. I told her I had a girlfriend anyway." he says. I just nod and walk by his side.
He doesn't get to call me his girlfriend when he can't even say it in front of me.
" are we fine? " he asks. I nod. And carry on walking.

Chris and trisha end up calling us to come to the exit of the festival to go back home. She had organised that we will be making pizzas.
I really liked trisha because she loved Chris so much that she put effort in her relationship with Noah and me.
We were now at home and I was still not talking to Noah properly. I changed into some jogging and a Noah's hoodie even if I wasn't talking to him.
We were all in the kitchen expect from the twins that had fell asleep and were in their room.
" alright so I want Naoh and mayleane to take out the flour and the other ingredients, and Chris and I will take out the equipment." she shouts so that everyone. Can hear. We all nod and start doing what we're told.
Me and Noah do our job in silence and the others do theirs. The tension in the room was thick not only because if Noah and his dad but because of me and Noah.
" Mayleane come upstairs with me please." trisha says. I nod and follow her up to her room.
Once we're inside, she tells me to sir beside her.
"what's wrong with Noah and you? She asks concerned.
" I.. He's annoying me. He spent the whole time at the festival with this chick he just met. They were all flirty and all. He didn't even acknowledge me. And then when I all jealous about, he dares tell me that its no biggy and that he told her before yesterday he had a girlfriend." I say.
" but when I asked him this morning what we were he told me he didn't want a label on it. He's so confusing and it's confusing me too. It like if he thinks I'm some type of joke but I'm. Not. He can't just take me when he's lonely and leave when he isn't. I'm tired of this back and forth. "I say angrily.
All trisha does is nod.
" I knew we weren't fine mayleane. " he says from behind me. I turn around to see Noah leaning against the door frame.
" let's go in our room let's talk about it. "he says. I stand up and follow him there.
He sits on the bed and holds me by the waist indicating me to sit on him lap. I put my legs on both sides of his thighs so that my face is facing his.
" I heard everything you said back there. And it's normal for you to feel this way. I didn't mean to play with your feelings I just don't really know what I feel you know? I want you to be my girlfirend but at the same time you might get hurt if I let you in. " he says and I nod.
" let's just take this little week to see how it goes if we decide to date alright? "he asks. I nod.
" but don't play with me Noah. Please don't. "I say looking at him.
" I'll try not to "he whispers almost to his self.
