Save Me

Chapter 18

Jared still had me pinned against the door when we heard the distinct voices of Kenzie, Paige and Lily echoing down the hall.

"Sounds like the girls."  he whispered against my lips, kissing me one more time.

"Uhhuh."

I still had my arms around him, though only loosely. The inevitable knock on the door was only seconds away and I knew our moment was over at least for now. Jared stepped back, palming his noticeable erection then pulled his shirt down to cover it. He caught me watching him and I giggled as I swiped my finger under my lip.

"We'll see if you think it's so funny later." He smirked, giving me a smack on my tush.

"Auntie Vivie..." Lily sang, knocking on the door then jiggling the handle.

"Oh!" I said surprised, "Thank God you locked the door!"

"I told you the privacy around here is shit." he replied as he opened the door.

Lily bopped right in followed a minute or two later by Paige, Kenzie and Emma.

"Hey Lily!" Jared said, "What did you think? Did I do a good job?"

"Yeaahhh." she smiled, "It was cool."

"Sorry..." Emma mouthed to Jared and I as soon as she walked in the room.

I waved her off, "It's fine. Thanks for watching them, Emma."

I'm not sure how long Jared told her to keep the girls occupied but I do know how they can be.   Now that the excitement was over, no doubt they were getting tired and antsy. Lily can be especially hard to control when she's crabby.    When Kenzie walked in, I could tell something was wrong.

"What's wrong Kenz?" I asked.

"Nothing...I just didn't know where you went." she replied, her tone almost authoritative.

What the hell?

"That was my fault, Kenzie. Don't be mad at Auntie Vivie." Jared said, overhearing our conversation, "I wanted to talk to her privately and I figured you guys were busy.."

"Oh, it's okay." she smiled.

Apparently since he could do no wrong and took the blame, all was okay. I sighed,
at least that ended quickly.

"Okay guys, get your stuff together. We need to head back to the hotel, it's really late."

I helped pick up a few things they had forgotten and straightened the pillows on the couch while Jared and Emma were talking. Lily was getting irritated with her sister so I needed to get her to the hotel and to sleep as soon as possible. If Jared was coming over I didn't want any of them catching a second wind like they did last night.

"All set?" I asked, they each had their bag of goodies from Shannon thrown over their shoulders.

"Yeah, I think so." Kenzie replied.

"Okay, let's say goodbye and don't forget to say thank you."

Paige went to Jared first, giving him a hug and thanked him. Kenzie was next then Lily.

"Ewwwww, you're all sweaty." she cried as if something gross was just dumped on her,  "GROSS!"

We all laughed, it was funny but there is defiantly going to come a time where her filter free mouth was going to get her in trouble. 

"That mean you don't want another hug?" he chuckled.

"NO WAY!" she giggled as she ran to the door.
