The morning light blasting through the windows was painfully blinding and I still had my eyes closed. Even though I was still groggy, I knew that was definitely not a good sign.

I could hear the girls moving around in their room but I hoped that I might get a little more time to sleep off this fog. I should have known better though and instantly regretted staying on the couch instead of dragging my sorry butt to my bedroom. Within minutes of first hearing them, the door to their bedroom opened and I knew it was all over.

"Auntie Vivie?" Lily happily sang, her voice trailing away from me as she walked into my bedroom.

She must not have seen me on the couch yet.

"Auntie Vivie?" she sounded a little worried when she called for me this time, stepping back into the living room.

In my head I wanted to say something but it was like I needed to build up the energy just to speak. I could her the pitter patter of her feet as she searched for me as I push myself deeper into the couch. I wasn't ready to adult yet.

"Auntie Vivie?" she called out one more time before I felt her at my side.

"Good Morning Auntie Vivie!" Lily smiled at she kneeled down in front of me, "I was looking everywhere for you."

'Aww', she sounded so sweet.

"Good Morning, Lily." I croaked out, "You guys sleep good?"

I hadn't opened my eyes yet, they felt like they were glued shut.

"Yeah, we slept good." she said as she leaned into me.

"That's good." I replied with a sigh.

"Did you sleep on the couch?" she asked as if it was the weirdest thing she had heard of.

All these questions. Please make it stop!

"Lily, can you shut the drapes please?" I asked.

Ignoring my request completely, I felt her hand on my cheek as she leaned in close, literally nose to nose, "Can you get up now?" she whispered.

I nodded my head, "In a minute."

That's when she did the absolute UNTHINKABLE.

Leaning back, "Rise and shine!"   she sang as she used her cute little fingers to pry my left eye open.

I thought my head was going to split in half.

"Lily, NO!" I shouted pushing her hands from my face then rolling away from her.

What the ever loving hell is wrong with this kid?

Totally unfazed she asked curiously, "Did you drink this stinky wine? Is that why your eye hurts?"

She sounded so innocent but I knew better, the little shit.

"Yes, I drank that stinky wine but that's not why my eye hurts." I said, turning my head towards her, "My eye hurts because you just pried it open with your fingers.."

"Whoopsie!" She giggled.

"You are such a little devil."

"Yeah, I know."

Well, at least we were on the same page with that one.

"Paige and Kenzie are up too, just so you know."

"Okay, thank you."

Very, very slowly I eased my way into a seated position. It may change but at the moment I was grateful that it seemed like I didn't have a nauseous tummy. I had a headache though so I knew I needed to find some Tylenol. If I didn't and let the headache go, I'd be puking in no time.
