She was fearless, and crazier than him.
She was his queen, and he was her king. Oh, God help anyone who tried to hurt their fucked up version of royalty.
"Thomas Sanders." A woman sighed, placing a file in front of Brendon.
Brendon cocked an eyebrow, staying silent.
"He thought he had control of the office romance they had." She grumbled, "But he was spiraling into an abyss."
"What's the abyss?" Brendon asked, sighing.
"Insanity." The woman answered shortly, "Talk about overestimating yourself," She sighed. "The guards at the Asylum, they grabbed her. They wanted her to talk, and she wouldn't. They didn't wanna call Thomas in, his obvious soft spot for him was starting to show and they knew what happened then."
~
Thomas hadn't made it in time, he knew that. But he also knew that he saw his doll whimpering in the infirmary.
He also knew that he was beyond livid.
They hurt his queen.
And that was their mistake.
~
"I imagine that's when he decided to help her escape." The woman murmured, "And escape they did. Well, she did."
~
Thomas ran out the building with Kiernan, a wicked smile gracing his lips. He'd gotten his first taste of insanity, and it was like a child having candy for the first time. He loved it. And they ran, running with the soft patter of feet on the alley way, but he got pulled back. And she didn't notice until he was gone.
~
"He was pulled back, and they replaced her with him. And then he knew what it was like, watching everyone from a glass room, everyone being forced to ignore you."
"But certainly he wasn't as guarded as Kiernan?" Brendon snorted.
"Oh, not at the beginning." The woman hummed, "Oh no, they started guarding him after he killed six guards, injured seventeen, and almost escaped."
"Jesus-" Brendon coughed, choking on his coffee.
"Of course, that's when they started guarding him."
"But, he's not there anymore?" Brendon inquired, cocking an eyebrow again.
"Let's just say, one guard was slacking off, and while that saved his life..It wasted the others." The woman sighed. "Kiernan had found him, and she wasn't letting us take her Puddin' away again."
"So it's like Harley and the Joker? Bonnie and Clyde?" Brendon sighed, setting his mug down.
"Something like that, yeah." The woman muttered, "They ran off into the sunset together, and we haven't been able to catch them since."
"What happens if you catch one?"
"Can't. If you catch one, the other comes soon enough and breaks 'em out. We gotta get both, or it's meaningless." A wicked smile graced her lips then, "That's why you're here."
