brylin hummed, grabbing a book. "hey, ema." she smiled, sitting at the table and opening it. "what's the dream killer?"

"ask harper, she seems to know about him." emaline shrugged.

brylin shrugged, opening the book to the page that read "DREAM KILLER". and she stayed there for the rest of the day, perplexed by the story of the dream killer. she had gathered about four books in front of her, grabbing one of the white boards and writing down a few notes.

it had reached six a.m., and brylin had twelve books in front of her, bags gathered under her eyes as emaline walked into the library.

"haven't you slept?" she huffed, sitting next to brylin.

"no, look! ryan seavey, our grandfather?" brylin started, "we've never met him."

"yeah, dad said he used to beat them." emaline nodded.

"i think he was the dream killer." brylin whispered.

emaline blinked at her, "alright, you need some sleep-"

"no, look. when ryan was little, his dad died." she started.

"okay? that happens to a lot of people." emaline rolled her eyes.

"his dad was murdered."

"still happens to a lot of people." she huffed.

"and then his girlfriend died in a drive-by in lower manhatten," brylin hummed, grabbing one of the newspapers she had.

"and?"

"oh my god, look. when our dad's were kids, a bunch of kids started disappearing and got found dead in the forest behind our house!" brylin huffed.

"..okay?"

"and then anna, our aunt died." brylin nodded.

"but anna's in the livingroom...?"

"exactly! there's weird shit going on here, because after anna died, our dad's were caught up in an attempted murder case, and they were the victims!" brylin groaned.

"..damn.."

"and then, when our parents were like, 19 or 20, there was a fire that burned down the house. that's when my dad got his prosthetics."

"wait, you think ryan seavey did all this?"

"hell yeah i do! ryan seavey was the dream killer and i don't know how anyone else doesn't get it."

"here, lemme see all this. you go take a nap, and i'll read through it."

"okay," brylin nodded, getting up and walking to her bedroom.
