nikolette smiled at jack, nudging him quietly. "it's just water, avery."

"dirty water," he huffed, nikolette pulling his hood down.

"live a little," she giggled, grabbing his hand without thinking and running into the street.

jack stared at her until she let his hand go, she shifted awkwardly, whispering a soft. "sorry," before spinning around in the road.

"you're gonna get sick," jack called, watching her.

nikolette just giggled, stopping a bit. she was dizzy, walking over to jack carefully and tripping slightly.

jack caught her, holding her to him quickly. he wanted to tell her to be careful, but no words came out.

she looked up at him, smiling innocently and biting the inside of her cheek.

jack stared at her for a second, murmuring a quiet, "fuck it." before leaning down and kissing her.
