"Tell me anything, but don't tell me he's what you're missing, baby." Played through my car speakers as I drove to the store. I was tired, I didn't want move. I had stuff to do so I had to. I parked my car in a building and started towards the apartment the family I was now working for lived in. I was doing the one thing I didn't want to do. Quit. I had to. With a baby on the way, living 2,500 miles from their father wasn't a good idea. Plus, I didn't want their son to get attached to the baby, seeing as, one day the baby wouldn't be around. I entered the building, warming up from the cold fall weather as I stepped into the elevator. I pressed the third floor and patiently waited. My phone started to vibrate.
"Cameron🙈: lpjqllx indaoaoqi😘😂😁😜💕"
"Jakebdnwowlwpsuxdkw ekaIs e f. Los
Snbelaoamenoalwna🙈🌅⛵️🎠🗻🌁⛄️☀️☀️☔️☀️☀️😢😰😖7⃣9⃣🔢8⃣6⃣hokwnwiwkskskanao"
I raised an eyebrow and replied. "Cam..? Babe what are you doing?" The elevator reached the floor and I exited. The random texts kept coming and then stopped. I shrugged it off and knocked on the door. "Elizabeth?"
"Can we talk?"
After our talk I headed out of the building. I felt so bad. But I had to do it. I couldn't just stay in New York when Cameron was in California. No way. What if something went wrong with the baby? I would be all alone. I didn't need that. No, I didn't want that. I sighed and got to my car opening it, and climbing in. After I shut the door, I got this sudden urge for Starbucks. So I started the car and headed off.

Knowing about a second child was a whole lot more comforting. I was so happy that Liz had told me instead of not telling me and keeping it a secret until she had the baby. Like, I want to be apart of that part of being a parent. I honestly feel like that's why Davis got sick. Because I wasn't there. To make sure her mother didn't do anything awful. I bet you she still hooked up with guys. I bet she drank and that's why she was early. Although she was three weeks early so I doubt that's why. I still think she drank. "Addy. Aaaady." Davis spoke tugging on my t-shirt, on her tip toes. "Yes princess?" She then pointed to my phone on the counter. I got up, picking her up and walked over to it. I had gotten a text from Liz. "What was all that random-ness from earlier about?" I sat Davis on the counter holding her waist with one hand as I unlocked the phone and opened the messages. "I gave Davis my phone in the car earlier. Didn't realize that she'd done that. Sorry." I locked it again and picked her up and headed to the family room to let her play. I sat her down and she got onto her legs by herself and ran over to her toy bin. She had grown so much since Liz had gotten here. Her hair was down to her back, which I should probably get it cut a little bit shorter, even though I loved her hair that long. I had never really gotten it cut, just had her bangs cut in, so that she could see. I normally just tied it into a quick bun when Liz wasn't home. But I mean what was I supposed to do about it. She was practically two now. Actually no she was around a year and seven or eight months. Or was it six? I never knew anymore. All I knew was that she was growing up so quickly. I honestly would be able to take her to events soon. Once she started saying more words I was going to. I was going to take her to visit Shawn, Mahogany and them since they weren't apart of Replay. But I also and to go to London, and I didn't know if I wanted to take her with me. She was still in diapers and I was scared of running out while there or something. Just a bad idea. Another text from Liz pulled me out of my thoughts. "Awww that's cute." I shook my head and quickly replied. "So if that was just a bunch of letters and emojis from me it wouldn't be cute?"
"Nope."
"You suck."
"Oh but I don't."
"How so?"
"I got Davis a new stuffed animal on Amazon?"
I rolled my eyes and watched as the little girl ran over to me, remote in hand, and fell into my lap laughing. "You wanna watch TV hmm?" I asked setting down my phone and picking her up and standing her upright. "Boo Coos" I smiled, chuckling and pulled out my phone, getting on Vine and filming her. "What do you wanna watch?" I asked chuckling. "Boos Coos!!" She spoke jumping up and down and then running to the TV and pointing to it. "Alright, alright." I spoke setting the phone down after filiming. I turned it on and pulled up Netflix and got Blue's Clues on and grabbed my phone once again as she watched. "So damn adorable. 😍♥😍👑" I smiled and just watched her. I then got another text. "Shawn✌: Can I have your daughter. Please. She's so fricken adorable. I want her." I smiled and chuckled and replied. "Hmm. A 18 year old pop artist with his best friend's daughter. Wonder what the media'll say about that."
"But."
"Yeah no. She's mine."
"Cammmmmm"
"No."
"But. You're already cheating on me with Liz. If that's not bad enough you keep our love child from me. You're ruining me Cam."
I laughed and shook my head and FaceTimed him. "Cammy!"
"Don't ever call me that again."
"Sorry. Where's Davis?" At the mention of her name Davis wwalked over and sat in my lap.
"Hi Princess!" Shawn spoke waving. Davis giggled and waved. " 'ello!" She then zoned out, focused on the TV. I watched Shawn laugh and screenshot the conversation. "So what are you up to?"
"I actually got a text from Liz, asking if I could help her pack."
"Oh? You're in New York?"
"Yeah I'm working on some stuff."
"Oh. So she's packing?"
"Yeah. She going home?"
"Mhm." I spoke wondering how Shawn would react to the news of Liz being pregnant.
"Why?"
"Reasons. When are you going to help?
"After I finish up today. For what reasons?"
Davis got up and went to her toys. "Let's just say that we're putting Liz's stuff in storage to make room for more furniture."
"For who? Davis?"
"No. But we do have two cribs now." This clicked.
"Holy shit, Liz is pregnant???" He asked his eyes widening, and his eyebrows rising.
"Ding, ding, we have a winner." I joked chuckling and watching Davis, making sure she didn't get hurt.
"Cameron that's awesome! Congrats dude!"
"Thanks man. It's actually crazy to think I'm having my second kid."
"What're you hoping for?"
"A boy. What do you think? I already have a girl."
"That's true. I've gotta go, my breaks over."
"Oh, alright. Love you man."
"You too. Congrats again."
"Thanks. Bye Shawn."
"Cya." He smiled and hung up. I then got another text from Liz. "Hey, I have a doctors appointment in two weeks. They said I should be able to find out the gender then. You wanna know?"
"I don't know. Give me some time to think. I mean it might be fun not knowing."
"Or maybe we could do a gender reveal?"
"YES. A THOUSAND TIMES YES. :))))))"
"Okay, okay! So like Nash or one of them'll know and you make a video of us being shown? Or just a video like a time lapse of us setting up the nursery and then it revealing the gender?"
"First one. Yikes, Davis just got marker all over her. I gotta clean her up."
"Okay. Haha goofy girl. 😂😂"
I smiled and left my phone on the floor and grabbed Davis and went upstairs. I heard my phone vibrate like someone was calling me and figured it was probably Nash or someone. I let it go and continued to start to get Davis clean up.
Big mistake.
