Chapter 14

Days went by and every night I'd facetime LIzzie and Davis. It was hard to stay away from the two of them. I missed them so much.

We finished another show and a fan called me over. I walked over smiling taking a picture with her. After it was taken she started talking, "Did you see what Lizzie tweeted?" "No, what's it say?" I saw a fan video taping me as I took another picture with a fan. "It' about Davis." I pulled out my phone and went to twitter, "IM CRYING. OH MY GOD." "THATS AWEsOME LIz!" what was going on? "DMs TO SHAWN, CAMERON, AND LIZZIE TO cELEBRAtE THE GOOD NEWS" I then pulled up LIz's twitter. "I woke up this morning and got a crying Davis. I went downstairs, not saying anything & fed her. She dropped her sppon, making a huge clang. She then looked at me with wild eyes." "In other words, Davis' surgery was finally effective. She can hear. She's been mimicking the dog all morning by barking." A smile had appeared on my face, tears running to my eyes. I bit my lip, not believing this. I waved at the girls running over to Nash. "You won't belive what I just found out."

I got my GoPro out when we got into the car. "Hey guys, this is really weird but this is so fricken important. So, I just found out, that my worst fear.. Isn't possible anymore. I spoke with a smile. "Davis apparently reacted to a loud sound, and then started barking after a dog had on the TV it was apparent her surgery to restore her hearing actually did work. And I couldn't be happier. The fact that I can just.. Hold my baby girl and say her name and she actually hears me... I..." I smiled wiping a tear from my eyes. "It's amazing. I'm currently texting Lizzie about plans to get them to DC so I can see them. Seeing I haven't seen them in two months. So. I wanted to tell you guys this personally so.. Yeah. I... Yeah." I spoke smiling. I ended the video with me smiling at the camera.

The last time I had been on a plane was a couple months ago. But I hadn't been on a plane with a one year old. God was it hard. "Davis, just sit." I spoke opening the DVD player and putting headphones on her. It was an alphabet video, and it would get her to know the letters and such. Then it went over simple words. I had bought wifi to talk to Cameron. I made a quick snapchat video, "Davis," I spoke taking off a head phone, "where we going hun?" She tilted her head, shrugging. I quickly signed Dad, to her so she was refreshed to her. She cooed and giggled and messed with the headphones. I fixed them as the video stopped. I put it into my story and put in my headphones. I was worried on telling Cam the information that came along with this. I had told my work about it and they said that now she could hear I would be moving to a different family. All the way in Maine. Which I didn't want to. I would be moving away from my boyfriend and his daughter. Why would I want that? A text came up on my screen. "Cameron🙈: She's such an angel. Any problems so far?"

"None. She's pretty tuned into Mickey Mouse right now."

"Aw, I miss my princess. 😭"

"You'll see her in a few."

"But Lizzzzzz"

"But Camm."

"Babeeeee"

At this I blushed.

"Look we gotta talk."

"About?"

"Me."

"Well I'd love to."

"Not like that Cam. I-I was given another family."

"What? They can't do that."

"Yes they can Cameron. Davis can hear now. She's no longer in need of therapy but speech which her therapist can do. Not my kind."

"Well were do they want to move you?"

"Maine."

"No."

"Liz don't. You can stay in LA with me and Davis. You don't need to even need to work. You can just live with us. Please."

"I just got you."

This hit me. He had gotten me eight months ago. But he got a girlfriend two months ago.

"There's gotta be another way Elizabeth."

"I can't control this. Either I go, or I lose my job."

"There's plenty of jobs in LA."

"Not for my degree Cameron."

"😢 I don't want you to go."

"I know baby. I don't wanna go either. 😔"

"Then why are you?"

"I'm a big girl. I have to work with big jobs."

"I love you."

It was a while before he replied.

"I love you so much. I don't want you to go anywhere but closer to me."

"Well that's why I'm flying to DC isn't it?"

"😂 god I love you. 😘"

I smiled and looked at a now asleep Davis. I shook my head and gently picked her up off her seat laying her on my stomach, close to me. I loved her so much. I kissed the top of her head, rubbing her back. I fell asleep, rubbing her back the two of us sleeping.

I was on twitter when I saw a update tweet. "A fan was on a flight to DC to go to school and look who was across the isle." The photo was of Lizzie and Davis fast asleep in a airline seat. I chuckled as I headed to the pickup area and chilling, waiting for the two. As soon as I saw the stroller full of bags I got out of the car. I shut the door and stood beside the trunk as the two approached me. I smiled as Lizzie woke up Davis softly and pointed at me. She started bouncing in her arms reaching out for me. I chuckled and walked to them taking Davis into my arms and hugging her softly. "Hi baby girl. I missed you." When she was sitting up in my arms she looked at me and barked. "Is that what a doggy says?" I asked chuckling. She nodded and put her head on my shoulder tiredly. I chuckled again grabbing her car seat from Lizzie. "How was the flight?" "Long. Tiring. We slept most the way." I chuckled buckling in a very sleepy Davis and gently shut the door. I then walked to the back as Lizzie started packing the back. I took a hold of her waist and pulled her to me. "Cam. Cameron stop." "Would you shut up?" I asked chuckling as she giggled. I kissed her softly and then helped her load the car. We got in, me in the drivers side and I adjusted the mirror to see Davis, fast asleep. Safe and sound.
