The next morning I woke up and sighed. I'd had another nightmare. I wasn't telling anyone, but I kept having replays of 'the incident' in my sleep. But it was a great day for Cameron, and Davis of course. And I was going to be happy to be apart of it. I got up, putting a sundress on, and pulling my hair up. I straightened the ends and headed downstairs. Cameron sat at the kitchen table typing on his phone, coffee mug in front of his hands. In his boxers. It then reminded me of what happened last night. I started blushing at the thought of it. "Hey Cam." "Oh hey, you're up early." "It's what ten o'clock?" "No.. It's eight Liz. You alright?" He chuckled getting up and putting his mug next to the sink. "I'm fine. Perfectly fine. Nothing wrong." I spoke. I got my coffee, mixing it quickly with creamer and sugar, and sitting were Cameron had been. "Elizabeth... Are you sure you're okay?" I nodded looking at my mug. I bit my lip as the memories came back while Cameron walked towards me. I felt a hand on my back and I slapped it. "Don't hurt me!" I imeadietly blurted. I covered my mouth as Cameron looked at me. I shook my head, tears finally spilling and hiding my face into my arms. "Hey, shh." Cameron picked me up putting me into his lap as he sat where I was before. He didn't say anything, but let me cry. When I finished he looked at me. "Better?" I nodded and stood up and he helped me up. "Why don't you go wash up, while I get dressed. Okay?" I nodded again as he stood up. He stopped, kissed my head, and kept going. It was as if he knew. But I knew he didn't. But... It was confusing. I went upstairs and washed my face, putting my makeup on just as Davis woke up.

Later in the day, Shawn, Cameron's friend, showed up surprising both of us. Nash facetimed him and Davis, while I stood with Shawn awkwardly. A few other old friends of Cameron's came and swung by, and when Shawn left, his parents came over. I met them, and then was ignored again. I excused myself and went to my room. I sighed collapsing on my bed. I closed my eyes, starting to fall asleep before I was woken up from yelling. "Are you serious? You come into my house and you start yelling at me for not having a girlfriend? Or a wife or mother figure for Davis? Her original mom didn't want her and I don't want her around her since she married someone and had two boys already." "That's what you should be doing then!!" "I'm just graduating! You really think with a kid I'm supposed to get a girlfriend that easily while fresh out of college?" "That's fair, but what about that girl who lives with you?" "Lizzie? I'm not going to force her to date me dad. She's here to help me with Davis not fall in love with me." I got up and headed downstairs and smiled and cooed at Davis as the room grew quiet. "What?" "We're going to go. Good bye, Lizzie it was a pleasure meeting you. Cameron I expect you to text me later." "Got it." He mumbled as they left. "What's their problem?" "Nothing." He spoke putting Davis down. Cameron went to the bathroom, leaving his phone on the counter. I picked it up and saw his conversation with Nash.

"Just tell her."

"I know she doesn't even have a slight feeling towards me."

"And you say you love her."

"But I love her. When she is at her best and worst. I've experienced it all. I've seen tears streaming down her face. Her eyes, so innocent, so pure, so broken, so honest when she cries. I've seen her infuriating, literally infuriating. Her face turns so red when she's mad. I've seen her smile, like a fool. I've seen her laugh her ass off, until her stomach hurts that she keeps hitting me. And her eyes sparkle when she is laughing and smiling, and just at her best mood. So beautiful."

"Short story short, I love her. All that she is."

I heard Cameron unlocking the door to the bathroom and I set down his phone and went over to Davis picking her up and taking her to her toys. I set her down watching her pick up a ball and throwing it the other way, then going and getting it. "Hey, Liz?" "Yeah?" "Thanks. For everything." I smiled at him nodding. "No problem. She's a cutie pie." I giggled looking at Davis trying to eat her foot. "No, no," I laughed taking it out. Both Cameron and I laughed as he headed upstairs. I knew it was wrong to read Cameron's messages. But.. I think I needed to know that.
