Lyric and Haruka were watching as the teams faced off. So far, they were winning, but the other team was catching up. "If we don't get further ahead, they could catch up," Haruka said.
Lyric nodded. "Those other guys aren't making it easy to get further ahead. They've already raised a few red flags..." Lyric said.
"Yeah, and they lost some points for that, but they make up for it in yards," Haruka said, watching the other team run.
Lyric hated to admit it, but she was right. They were really fast. And for some reason, Lyric had a strange twinge of familiarity from watching the other team. It was almost as if he knew them. "Yeah...they're fast."
They continued to watch. There was only fifty seconds left on the clock as Lyric's eyes flicked to Vance. ~Come on...you just have to keep them from gaining yards for a little bit longer...~
Haruka rose to her feet, a few other people following her lead. Thirty seconds.
Lyric stood, too, hands clenched in anticipation at his sides. "Twenty seconds..." He said.
The other team was running for the twenty yard line.
Haruka bit her lip. "They're gaining yards!" She said.
Lyric was getting panicked. If they scored this, they'd win. Ten seconds. Ten yards.
Suddenly, the other team's player with the ball was tackled. Five seconds... "Four...Three..." Everyone was counting now. "Two...one... YEAH!" A cheer erupted from Haruka and everyone else.
Lyric only gave a small smile, pleased with their victory. ~I knew you could do it, Vance...~

Haruka and Lyric were now waiting by the fence for their team to come out of the locker rooms. The fans of both sides were still here, some happy and some upset.
"I can't do this," Haruka said for the third time.
"Yeah, you can," Lyric sighed. "Just tell him he did a good job," He said.
Haruka was feeling nervous about talking to Takayuki. "Okay..." She bit her lip. Her gaze shifted behind Lyric. "Hey, do you know those guys?" She pointed over towards the fence.
Lyric frowned, following her gaze to a few guys leaned against the fence. Suddenly, he became paler than usual, like paper. His hands gripped the cold metal bar of the fence. "Oh, no..."
"What's wrong?" Haruka asked. "You know them?"
Lyric only watched in horror as the three guys walked over to Lyric and Haruka. ~Shit...~ He thought, his eyes widening as the three came to a halt in front of them.
"Lyric," The tall, muscled, brunette guy smirked. "So this is where you ran off to."
Lyric was stunned. But he spoke softly. "Li..." Was the only thing that he could say.

Vance was combing through his hair, ruffling it up a bit afterward. "Hey, Ryu, you think I could borrow your cologne?" He asked.
Ryu nodded. "Sure thing, man," He pushed a shirt to the side and grabbed the spray bottle, tossing it to Vance.
"Thanks," Vance caught it, spraying it once. "Think fast," He then smirked and tossed it back at Ryu.
Ryu fumbled and the bottle fell to the ground with a light thunk. "Damn, Intukai," He sighed, picking it up. "You suck."
Vance laughed. "I think it's your catching that sucks."
