Lyric was sitting downstairs, watching the discovery channel, when the doorbell rang. He frowned and stood up. "Just a minute!" He sniffed. He stood slowly and headed for the door, opening it. His eyes widened. "V-Vance?"
Vance looked nervous and there was blood on his knuckles. "Hey. Can we talk?" He asked.
Lyric bit his lip, pulling his sleeve over his hand. "I'm sorry that I gave your book to Li."
Vance smiled lightly and pulled a book from his coat. "You mean, this?"
Lyric's eyes widened. "H-How did you...?"
"I took it back. May I come in? It's cold." Vance asked, shifting his feet.
Lyric nodded and pulled the door open wider. Vance came inside and set the book down on the counter. Lyric awkwardly stood in the middle of the room, fidgeting with his sleeves so that they'd stay on his hands.
"Lyric..." Vance said softly, standing in front of him. "I'm sorry. For not listening to you... I should've let you explain, but I just couldn't believe that you would do that. I didn't know what to think."
Lyric bit his lip. "It's okay... No harm done..." He shrugged.
Vance shook his head. "But there was..." He said softly, taking Lyric's arm and turning it over, palm side up. He pulled the sleeve away to see the 'L' marked in red.
Lyric looked down. "I'm sorry..."
"No, kitten. You've nothing to apologize for..." Vance lightly kissed his palm. "Please... it's my fault. I was supposed to protect you."
Lyric wiped underneath his eyes with his opposite hand. "You've done so much for me...It's okay that you weren't there."
Vance held Lyric's hand carefully and pressed his lips to Lyric's forehead. "Tell me how you really feel..."
Lyric bit his lip. "It hurt..." He sniffed.
Vance pulled Lyric into his arms. "I won't let him hurt you anymore... You're mine..."
Lyric blushed, hugging Vance back. Just touching Vance made his heart beat quicker, tingles spread through his fingers to his feet. He'd never felt like this before. He hated to admit it, but he actually liked it.
Vance smiled softly, kissing the top of Lyric's head. "And I took care of him. He should leave you alone." He grinned.
Lyric looked up at him. "You could get in trouble for that..." He said. "I can't let you-"
"I don't care..." Vance said softly. "I did it for you. I wouldn't take it back. Ever," He said, grinning.
Lyric blushed and smiled a little. "Thank you..." He said.
Vance nodded. "Now," He said, "Will you, Lyric Kadoya, be my boyfriend?" Vance grinned, winking.
Lyric blushed. "Y-Yes..." He nodded. "I will."
Vance smiled and lifted Lyric's chin. "Good. Now I can finally do this," And he pressed his lips to Lyric's.
Lyric's eyes widened a fraction before falling shut, kissing Vance back. He rested the palms of his hands on Vance's chest, allowing Vance to take control.
Vance lightly licked Lyric's lower lip, asking for entrance, which Lyric granted by parting his lips. Vance slipped his tongue into Lyric's mouth, tangling their tongues together.
Lyric blushed and let out a tiny whimper of pleasure. This felt so good...so nice...so right.
Vance backed him into the wall, pulling his lips away and running them down Lyric's neck.
