The sound of the volleyball hitting the floor echoed inside the gym. Y/N wiped the sweat off his forehead with a small towel that hung around his neck. He had his gaze on the floor as he sat on the bench, cooling down from the intense practice he and his team had been doing.

"Kageyama!"

Y/N looked up to see Naoki, the first-year manager, run up to him. "Here you go."

"Thanks," he replied, taking the water bottle that Naoki had offered to him.

The first-year finished passing out the rest of the water bottles before he stood aside, watching the others practice. "They're really working hard..."

"Yeah."

Y/N set the bottle down on the floor beside him and also began watching the others practice. "Hey. Kageyama?"

Th (h/c)-ette turned his gaze to the first-year, who had called out to him once again. "If you don't mind me asking...what exactly did you do in the UK?"

Y/N was silent for a bit before sighing. "Well... I wanted to study abroad, so I decided to go to the UK... I practiced volleyball... Picked up on a few new tricks here and there... Learned how to sharpen my skills... More than I ever did in my hometown."

"I see."

"Why do you ask?"

Naoki smiled and shook his head. "No particular reason. I was just thinking about how nice it would be to travel the world."

"It's not a bad place to go. If you're thinking about traveling then just go for it. It's not like you have all the time in the world... You never know what'll happen..."

"Captain!"

He saw F/N running toward him. "Come on! We gotta practice more if we wanna beat everyone else!"

F/N then dragged the (h/c)-ette off of the bench. Naoki was shocked at how daring F/N was, not fearing the wrath of the stone-cold captain as he got dragged onto the court. Sighing, Y/N threw the towel towards the bench and stood on the court.

Currently, the court had been divided in half with six players on each side. The six on the opposing side mentally prayed for themselves as they watched their captain join the game. The wing spiker didn't fail to notice how nervous they seemed.

He smirked slightly. "Shaking already, boys? The match hasn't even started yet."

They all shook their heads, denying the fear they felt at the back of their minds. "Great. Then, let's get started, shall we?"

Some of them looked over at their coach, who simply shrugged. "If you can't put up a fight against your own teammate, how do you expect to fight against the other schools?"

"But, Coach–"

"Quit yer whining and toughen up, you bunch of crybabies!"

And just like that, their little practice match started. Though they did put up a fight and, at times, surprised Y/N with their attacks, they ultimately lost by the end of the three sets. The (h/c)-ette looked over at them from the other side, his arms crossed over his chest, all dead tired and laying on the floor.

"Your forms all need work."

"Give us a break, Captain," one of them said tiredly, "You yourself don't even know how much stamina you have."

Y/N sighed and shook his head. Just then, a loud voice said, "I thought I saw you around."

The (h/c)-ette, along with a few of his teammates, turned toward the gym doors to see Nekoma's and Fukurodani's captains walk in. They walked up to Y/N with wide grins on their faces. "Well, well. Matsubara's captain, Y/N Kageyama."
