"I'm sorry. Do I...know you from somewhere?"

Tobio shook his head, clenching his fists as he looked up at him, not believing the words his brother had just said to him.

"Why...?"

Y/N stepped back, wanting to walk away. But before he could, Tobio grabbed Y/N by the collar of his jersey, taking the older one by surprise.

"Why do you act like that?! I finally get to see you after years and that's your response?!" he yelled, shaking him. "What the hell is your problem?!"

Y/N had nothing to say in response. His fear and want to just run were making him say things. Things that he wasn't thinking through all the way.

"You're dead to me!"

Tobio stopped for a second before glaring at him. "I don't care! Whether you like it or not, we're family!"

"Let go..." the (h/c)-ette muttered, referring to the grip Tobio had on his jersey.

"I won't! If I do, you'll just run away!"

Y/N pushed Tobio away, making him let go of his jersey. He looked at his younger brother, showing a pained expression. "Why are you looking for me in the first place?! Aren't you the one who didn't want to see me?!"

"What are you talking about? I always looked for you!"

"I left so that I wouldn't hurt you!"

"What kinda excuse is that?" Tobio yelled in response. "So I could feel better? I felt better when you were beside me! I needed you!"

Tears were trailing down his cheeks. He was pouring out all the feelings he had bottled up inside. No matter how much he wiped them away, they continued.

"Where did you need to be so badly that you left me...?! You left when I needed you the most...! Why...? Why did you leave me alone?!"

The older male stepped back. "You wanna know why so badly? I spent the last four years training myself to death because I didn't know how else to handle the guilt I felt!!"

It was silent. Tobio's eyes widened. For the first time ever, he witnessed an expression on Y/N's face that he had never seen before. Tears slowly trailed down his cheeks, his eyes glossy.

"Y/N...--"

"Every day, I thought about how you would react when you saw me again. I couldn't face you...! Not after everything I did to you...! I thought you would look at me with hatred. Yet...!"

Hearing his broken cries made Tobio tear up even more. "I could never be mad at you...! No matter what, you'll always be my brother...!"

After a while, they calmed down. "It's... probably too late to say this, but... We should go somewhere else..."

Y/N awkwardly motioned his younger brother to follow him, walking ahead. They ended up going to the hill that the (h/c)-ette often visited.

"I'm sorry... about everything..." he said, not looking at Tobio.

"It's fine..."

Then, a heavy silence fell over them, making things awkward. Tobio tried to think of something to say. He had had many burning questions. So, he wondered why his mind was completely empty now.

He then thought back to the earlier events. One thing about what his brother had said piqued his interest.

"You mentioned this earlier, but... Why did you think I didn't want to see you?"

Y/N was quiet for a second before answering. "They told me that was what you wanted... So I didn't..."

"Is that also why you left? When I was discharged from the hospital, everything in your room was... broken..."
