The young Tobio continued watching his older brother play, seeing him serve the ball at different spots, missing the water bottle a few times. The older boy eventually turned his head and met his younger brother's gaze.

He tilted his head in confusion before motioning Tobio over. He slid the back door open and walked onto the patio, making his way over. Just as he thought he was going to be scolded for being awake so late, his brother surprised him by ruffling his hair.

"Sorry. Did I wake you?"

"N... No," the boy lied.

He looked up into his (e/c) eyes. "Come on. Let's get you to bed--"

"Y/N-nii."

He looked at me, raising an eyebrow. "Can I... stay with you?"

After a few seconds of silence, he sighed, giving in. "Fine... Here."

The older boy tossed his jacket at his brother. "It's cold. You can stay, but only for a little while. You still have school tomorrow."

"Okay."

--

"Here. Hold your arms out like this. Bend your knees a little more."

"Like this?"

He nodded. "When the ball comes your way, don't focus everything on your arms. You have to move your legs. Ready?"

"Yes."

"Here it comes."

The small boy watched as his brother lightly hit the ball in the air. It formed an arch as it dove down to where he stood. He pushed his body up with his knees, watching as it bounced off his forearms and back into the air.

His eyes widened with joy. "I did it!"

He was taken by surprise when Y/N suddenly pat his head. He turned his head up to look into his (e/c) eyes. He had a small smile on his face. "Good job, Tobio."

A grin spread across his face, witnessing one of his brother's rare smiles.

Without even realizing it, Tobio's hands began to grip the rail tightly. He had delved too deep into his own thoughts.

"Where is Y/N-nii?"

"Oh, honey. Don't worry about him. He went home."

"Home? But... I want to see him--"

"No, no, Tobio. You have to stay here--"

"But I want to see him!"

--

*Spoiler ahead: I'm so sorry! I forgot to put this in the first time! My bad. If you know, you know. Otherwise, please keep reading and don't pay any mind T^T

"Y/N-nii...?"

Tobio was met with silence. He quietly opened the door to his brother's room. But, what he saw horrified him. The room was mostly empty except for a bed, a desk, and a chair.

The posters, trophies, and medals that had previously adorned Y/N's room were either torn, broken, or scattered on the floor.

He opened the closet and the sight made his eyes widen even more. It was empty. No shoes, no jerseys, no clothes. Nothing. Even the suitcases he had in the back for family vacations were missing.

He turned his small head towards the items his brother cherished. They were all ruined. That was when he noticed a photo frame on the floor.

It was of his parents hugging his older siblings as their father held a small Tobio in his arms. The glass over the picture was shattered. Tears streamed down his face.
