"Y/N," F/N yelled, waving the (h/c)-ette over.
Y/N excused himself from Kuroo, Bokuto, and Akaashi before making his way over to his friend.
"You practice with Kuroo and Bokuto and you forget about me," F/N whined, folding his arms over his chest.
A playful pout tugged on F/N's lips. "Sorry..." the (h/c)-haired third-year replied quietly as he sat down. "So, what's been going on?"
"They all practiced well today. At least, from what I've seen."
"They're good guys... Really passionate about volleyball."
"If we're talking passion, you take first place," his friend said with a small smile. "You dedicate so much of your time to it... I wouldn't be surprised if you got scouted by some elite University."
Kuroo looked over at Y/N from his spot next to Akaashi. "Why don't you say something to him already?"
"Huh?" Kuroo said, looking at the setter in surprise. "What are you talking about?"
"It's so obvious you like him", Kenma added, not looking up as he pressed the digital buttons on his screen.
All but Akaashi jolted at the sudden appearance of a different voice. "K-Kenma?!"
"Kenma's right, Kuroo-san," Akaashi spoke in his soft and calm voice. "You're always looking at him."
Kuroo directed his gaze back to Akaashi. "Looking at who?" came a different voice.
They all turned to see a curious Lev, who had been walking by when he had overheard their conversation. He hovered over them, his green eyes filled with curiosity.
"Lev, this doesn't concern you!" Kuroo shouted, pushing the tall first-year away.
"Lev!"
At the harsh call of his name, a jolt of fear ran up the first-year's spine. He knew that voice all too well. He slowly turned, his gaze meeting that of his scary upperclassman.
"Where have you been?" Yaku exclaimed, staring up at the middle blocker.
"Y-Yaku-san!"
Yaku dragged him away by the ear. "Ow, ow, ow!"
The rest watched in amazement and pity. "I've been looking everywhere for you! Just try and run off again!"
Kuroo sighed as the two disappeared beyond the doors of the cafeteria. "If anything, Y/N and I are just friends... He probably doesn't like anybody anyway."
"Kuroo-san"
They all looked up to see a quiet-looking girl with long brown hair walk in. She wore a jacket with Matsubara's school emblem on it, holding a clipboard against her chest.
"Sorry to interrupt," she said with a bow, "But have you seen Y/N anywhere? Since I last him with you, I thought I'd ask you first..."
"Oh. Yeah," the Kuroo replied. "He's over there with F/N."
She turned and sure enough, there he was. "Thank you very much."
With a slight bow of her, she excused herself and walked over. They watched as the third-year manager walked towards (h/c)-ette. She tapped his shoulder, making him look up at her.
"Y/N, the coach is looking for you. He said he wanted to talk to you about something."
"I see. Thank you for letting me know," he replied, smiling slightly.
He stood up, excusing himself before following beside her. Bokuto looked on in shock, his mouth wide open. "Hah?! He's never smiled like that at us!"
"Really?" Kuroo said, taking a sip of his drink. "Then maybe he just doesn't like you."
