Jane's P.O.V
I lay in bed looking up at the dark ceiling, it's 12:30 and I can't sleep, and honestly I don't want to. I'm afraid that if I go to sleep then I'll wake up in that dark place again and none of this would've been real. I'm afraid of what I'll dream of, so instead I look at my ceiling.
I still can't believe I'm home. I'm alive. I think to myself. I remember seeing Austin and a smile covers my face like an idiot.
I still love him. I always have and I always will, but I can't be with him. This curse isn't going away anytime soon and until it does I don't want to be with Austin. What if something happens? What if I hurt him? I would fall apart if I hurt him, especially since I did once. I only want to keep him safe, and I will. I wish I could go back to the night I realized I liked him. That day was perfect.
~Flashback~
"Austin! Austin let me go!" I half yell, half laugh.
Austin carries me over his shoulder and toward the ocean water. Behind us sit Will, and my best friends, Sophia, and Oliver. I am not exaggerating when I say they are laughing their asses off. Will and Sophia are rolling in the sand while Oliver acts as if he's going to grab me but then doesn't. I look at the ground and see that Austin's starting to walk into the water.
"Austin put me down right now!" I yell trying to wiggle my way out of his grasp.
"If you say so," Austin says and lets me go.
I fall into the water and instantly come right back up, damn it's cold!
Austin starts laughing and I tackle him sending us both under water. I come up first and then Austin his blond hair is flat now and his entire body is soaked like me.
"Okay we're even now." Austin says walking back to shore.
I laugh and follow after him. When I reach the shore I fall on the blanket that I brought and look up at the sky. "Hey guys?" I say.
"Yeah what's up?" Sophia asks.
"Do you think that I can do something to make the time go faster?" I say no one answers.
"I mean I have these powers, even though it's a curse maybe I can speed up time. What do you think?"
"I think you should try it see if it works," Oliver replies.
I close my eyes and concentrate hard. From my closed eyes I can see that the light is getting darker.
"Jane open your eyes!" Sophia says and when I do I see the sun is going down. Sunsets on the beach always look so beautiful, I look at the water mesmerized.
Austin comes and sits beside me on the blanket. "Beautiful isn't it?"
"Yeah it really is," I answer and I look at him.
The light shines in his face and his light blue eyes look like they are glowing. He's so cute.
"Hey Jane," he says. "Do you ever think about the future?"
The future? I always thought about the future. I also realize that I want Austin in my future. He's looking at me and I nod. "Yeah I do. What about you?"
"Everyday of my life." He says smiling.
I sit up and look from his eyes to his lips back to his eyes. Without a moments hesitation I lean forward and kiss him. After a moment I pull back and open my eyes, I see Austin looking at me and then breaks into a huge smile.
"You don't realize how much I've wanted to do that," he says.
I smile and he leans in again, after a moment I pull away and lean my head on his shoulder.

Austin's P.O.V
I stand in a meadow in the woods. How did I get here?
"Hello?" I say, no one answers.
A moment later I hear a voice, "Austin."
I turn around and see Jane. She is standing maybe five feet away and wearing a long white dress. She looks beautiful.
"Jane?" I say, "Where are we?"\
"In your head," she answers. "Your dreaming Austin."
"Then why are we here?" I ask confused. "I've never been here before."
"I want to show you something," she says coming closer.
"Show me what exactly?" I ask.
She stops right in front of me and looks me in the eye.
"I need your help Austin."
"Help with what?"
"My memories," she answers. "I feel like I can't remember something, something important."
"What? Jane you're making no sense."
She takes a breath and says, "Something isn't right. I'm Jane, but I'm apart of her that she is forgetting."
"So what you're telling me is that you are apart of Jane's memory?" I ask. She nods.
"Oh well this is not normal."
She giggles, "Austin how long have you known me? And you say this isn't normal?"
She knocks on my head and says, "Are you positive that you aren't having memory loss?"
I laugh, "What are you forgetting?"
"That's the problem," she says.
"What do you mean?"
"Ever since I woke up on that beach my memory has been fading very slowly." She explains. "Right now I'm sleeping but with help of my powers I'm able to communicate with you through our minds. The real problem is that when I'm awake I have no idea that my memory is fading."
"Then how do you know when you're sleeping?" I ask her.
"Because I'm the part of my brain that will disappear last." She says looking away.
"Disappear last? Jane that's impossible!" I yell.
She shakes her head, "No it isn't. Soon my childhood memories will fade then my recent years will fade. I won't have any memory of who I am."
I shake my head and grab her arms. "No, no! You can't forget! I can't lose you again!"
"That's why I need your help," she says. "Every night I will reappear and show you every single memory I have. Then when the time comes you'll know what to do with them. You'll know how you can help me."
I let her go and she begins to slowly disappear.
"Austin promise me something." She says to me.
"Anything."
"No matter what happens to me or what I become please stay by my side and push me to move forward. No matter what happens. Promise me Austin."
"I promise." I say.
I open my eyes and I'm in my bedroom the sun beginning to rise outside.
