Chapter Nine
"Oh honey. There's nothing to worry about. I'm sorry about you're loss, but we all know you're innocent," Jena asked as she stroke Ravens hair.
Raven and Miley were at the hospital visiting Jena. She was recovering and in a few days she'll be out of the hospital.
"But mom, they've been questioning me for about five days now. What if I really was the one? What if I didn't know I killed them? What if –"
"Rav, you didn't kill anyone okay? You were here with your mother when the killing was done," Miley said irritated, guilt filled her and she was going insane.
Jena and Raven looked at her with a questioning look.
"Look, we all know that Raven is innocent. The evidence maybe just, coincidental," Miley added coolly.
"But –"
"No buts Raven. Miley is right," Jena said cutting Raven off.
Raven just sighed, she couldn't even win a conversation with her best friend how much more to her mom.
"Just rest sweetie, you've been stressing out," Jena said with concern.
"Maybe, I'm just overreacting because of stress. Yeah, that's it. Stress. I think, I'll go take a nap," she said, then blankly headed to a small couch and let herself doze off.
Miley was walking on her way home when she spotted Officer Miles walking towards his car. She quickly jog towards him and went towards the driver's side. She knocked on the window a few times before it slid down revealing an Officer Miles with a raised eyebrow.
"Raven is innocent," Miley said.
Officer Miles smirked and rolled his eyes. "What proof do you have? The evidence points toward her," he retorted.
"I know who killed them and it's not Raven."
"And how do you know it's not her? You don't have anything to support it with," he said and started the ignition, and was about to drive off when Miley spoke loudly making him hit the brakes.
"I know its Rebecca!" she said loudly. She walked towards the car which was a few inches away from her and went towards the driver's side.
Officer Miles was gripping the stirring wheel so hard his jaw clenched. How did she know? He asked to himself.
"I know that you know it was her officer, yet you put the blame on Raven. How selfish could you get? I see insanity has taken over you. You know, well I fact, that Rebecca's using you to get what she wants," Miley said.
Officer Miles ran his hands through his blond hair and looked into her wide green eyes. Miley could see his blue eyes were filled with concern and doubt.
He gave out a sigh and looked away. "Get in the car Ms. Andrews," Officer Miles said and sighed again.
Miley walked towards the passenger seat and got in.
"What do you suggest?" Officer Miles asked.
Miley opened her mouth to speak but closed it again. She slumped into the leather seat and sighed.
