Chapter Nineteen
Raven yawned and stretched herself with a smile. She never felt happy in her life. She never knew that Drake would be the person.
She stretched out her hand on the bed and felt nothing but covers. Her eyes widen and she froze. She sat up and looked at the side where Drake slept.
Where was he? He didn't mean to leave her twice, did he?
Raven got up and combed her hair. She straightened her shirt and headed towards the bathroom and picked inside. She had the feeling that Drake was just planning a surprise for her.
She headed towards the living room but there was no Drake. She went towards the kitchen and surveyed every inch of the room but there was no Drake either. It made her troubled, making her brows meet.
Did Drake really leave her for good? Or was last night part of their plan? She didn't like either thoughts and she just shook her head.
She headed towards the bedroom and sat on the edge of the bed and leaned her elbows on her lap with her chin resting on her hand.
Is he part of Rebecca's scheme? she thought to herself.
"What are you saying Raven, he's not like that. Maybe, just maybe, he's planning a big surprise," she muttered to herself.
"But wait, what's the surprise for?" she said to herself and slapped her forehead.
Raven let out a sigh and continued to think of the limiting options of Drake's sudden disappearance.
Suddenly she heard sweet laughter of a child then slowly transformed into an evil deafening laughter.
Raven straightened herself as she froze on her spot. She's here, she thought making her heart beat frantically.
"How was last night?" Rebecca whispered in her ear sending shivers through Raven's body.
"None of your business," Raven managed to reply.
"Didn't go well I presume since you're so uptight," Rebecca messed around.
Raven just shrugged.
"Just relax Raven," she said as she placed her hands on Raven's shoulders making her stand up immediately and faced Rebecca.
"I'm just trying to be sisterly," she said standing in front of Raven then suddenly was at her back.
"Let's play, 'Cat and Dog'. I'll be the dog and you'll be the cat. The house is the home and no one goes out. If you go out of the house, there's a punishment," Rebecca's childish voice said from behind and Raven just gulped at the thought.
"The rule is simple," she continued. "Stay alive," she whispered and it made Raven's heart flinch.
Laughter filled Raven's ears and slowly faded. Raven was rattling. How could she survive Rebecca's clutches? She needed to find a way to stay alive and fast.
"Are you ready Raven?" the childish voice suddenly said followed by a giggle.
Raven dove towards the bed and started looking underneath it. She started reaching her hand underneath but felt only dust and dust bunnies. She moved to the other side and did the same.
